Collagen Supplementation

Collagen Supplementation

Hey I’m new here just got registered at last. I’ve been a reader for ages but only started PE’n 2-3 weeks ago. I read in a thread here or at another pe site that the penis is made up of collagen fibres or something. Well I was wondering why not supplement with extra collagen wouldn’t that help gains.

Have I just made a miraculous find or am I complete bafoon of a newbie.

Anyway hi people look forward to posting to keep me motivated.

Anyhelp is appreciated
Cheers

Do you think you could be more specific?

2005 - BPEL 6.0"x MSEG 4.5" (BEG 4.75"/HEG 4.625")

2010 - BPEL 8.0"x MSEG 5.75" (BEG 6.5"/HEG 5.875")

Goal - BPEL 9.0"x MSEG 6.5" (BEG 6.5"/HEG 6.75")

Mmm not really mate don’t know alot about this. I just read that I think the penis’s ligaments are made up of mostly collagen type II fibres so if we create these micro tears and supplement with more collagen type 2 it should be all good.

I’ve heard supping with extra collagen is good for repair of ligaments, tendons etc so this might be a good idea.

But I was wanting to hear this from someone more knowledgeable.

Cheers

I’ve had the same idea!
Have made some searching
around the forum but haven’t
found anything…

Is there someone who knows
if you can supplement this and
benefit from it?

Restarting everything.

Perhaps you would just strengthen the tunica and make it harder to stretch. I don’t know.

I think that taking oral collagen wouldn’t do anything as it would be broken down to amino acids in the stomach and not be absorbed as collagen.

Glucosamine and chondroitin are used as oral supplements for joint (cartilage) health, but I don’t know how it would effect other connective tissue, if at all.

If you want to supplement collagen, just eat jello.

Mravg is correct. You should read the “chemical PE” thread or something like in the main members forum. From the way I understand it, collagen provides most of the strength of the penis. The idea of PE is to “microtear” the collagen in the penis very slightly during each exercise session. The microtears are then repaired, leaving the PE’er with a slightly bigger penis. However, if the collagen of your penis were stronger, the results would be more resistance, less microtears and thus less gain. So actually, extra collagen would just hurt your gains (if oral supplements even go to your penis)!

The idea of “chemical PE” is to use “collagenases” to weaken the collagen of the penis such that it will respond more easily to PE exercises. Weaker penis collagen would microtear more often and thus increase your rate of gains.

So yeah, I’d stay away from collagen supplements if you are PEing. Extra collagen would probably be good once you have reached your goal and want to cement your gains. Just a thought. Also, if I got any of the theoretical/scientific stuff wrong, please correct me.

Oct 2006: BPEL: 7.75" NBPEL: 7.00" EG: 5.125"

Goal: 17+ cubic inches of volume, someday, currently inactive

The real question is (and the one no one seems to be able to answer), is just how increasing the rate of collagen turnover would effect your gains.

I believe that gains slows (well, one of the factors at least) due to cross linking of the collagen. Now if increasing the rate of collagen turnover actually helped to break these cross links and form new, more easily deformed collagen (Type I fibres, if I recall correctly), then yes, it could be very beneficial.

Problem is, no one really knows for sure.

Thanks for your replies and shown interest!
Yes I know the proteins will break down due to
enzymatic activity in the stomach. Collagen makes
part of the cyto skeleton in cells. It also builds
tendons and ligaments. Yes, yes…

Hm. I wonder if you could fill those micro tears
with elastin instead? My skin is very elastic, maybe
this means I have much elastin in my dick? :D

Interesting. Can someone vouch this statement? Just looking for more opinions. Thank’s.
