A negative view on P.E

I can quite understamnd qualified medical experts not publicly supporting procedures that do not have the medical fraternity’s approval.

But that is no reason to make derogatory public declatrations about subjects on which they have not fully studied, nor indeed passed exams thereon.

Perhaps these detractors need to cast their minds back to the days before when many of our life saving drugs and procedures did not have any scientific backing. Yet by use and study of the methods and results, official recognition has been bestowed on them. And they are in daily use the world over.

The article suggessts that many of these proceures etc. have not been officially apaproved. But how did the approved items gain approval? The answer is by research and testing. and looking at results of tests.

The fact that many of the procedures have not been tested and officially approved, does not mean they are not useful, or gains have not been made from their use. Admittedly some of the items marketed today fall under the ‘of no use’ category.

But for this institute to decry all items that do not have the FDA approval out of hand, surely shows a very inward looking philosophy, rather than an objective outward view of seeking possible procedures, which could advance human wellbeing.

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

Petitfaun, I agree with you 100%. So, the challenge now is to gain scientific approval via formal studies.

Would any “respected institution” be willing to undertake the research and testing? Eventually I hope so.

Perhaps this would minimize the derogatory, public declarations based on ignorance.

And there is probably no doctor who wants to risk his license, his volume at a private practice, or his corporate job by running a study about manual exercises. I think the AMA would view it like voodoo. Can you imagine any specialist, who requires so much more training and investment than the general practitioner, trying to defend a dick stretching “study” to the chief of staff at the hospitals where he has privileges? I can’t blame a guy for not risking his livelihood and reputation on figuring out if stretching lengthens your penis in a safe and responsible fashion when he isn’t going to gain anything from it.all the “IP” of manual exercises is on the web in places like this. How would he make any money? And if he tries to, he’ll get busted by the establishment and accused of quackery.

Sad, but that’s just the way it is.

So true! I never thought about that! People can be so selfish sometimes.

The more negative spewed out there by so called “medical experts”, then the more positive and wider the range in size will be between the average Thunders member and the average member of the general public.

God I hope no one does! In fact, I think the PE community should start an organization to create misinformation and discredit such “scientific studies” haha :)

It occurred to me that maybe the guy who wrote the article was thinking the same thing and could be an actual Thunders member sending out misinformation in that spirit. :)

Well you can’t argue with the mayo clinic we should all stop now and of course this will be the last day for the forum. Starting next Monday the forum will reopen and we will deal with Hollywood gossip and we will also have a section for posting and sharing recipes. Thanks all it’s been great.

I don’t know if this is okay according to the Forum Guidelines but

=)))))))))))))))))) Dino

As Dino suggested, lets turn thunders into a Hollywood gossip site.
I will start with this gossip: I heard that Brad Pitt is a member at thunders, and that he gained about 4” :) (Just kidding, of course)

And by the way, let them say what ever they want in those “scientific” articles, because we all her at thunders know the truth, right.
