Avoiding the scrotum with hot towel

So how important is it to completely avoid the scrotum when using a warm up towel? I feel like it’s better if I completely wrap my package but the newbie routine says to avoid the scrotum when hot wrapping?

Too much heat can mess up your nuts. Try mainly to wrap your dick, if some heat is transfered to your nuts it is not going to mess it up. But still try to avoid it.

The scrotum, which contains the testes, acts as “climate control” for the development of sperm. The testes must be kept at a temperature “cooler than body temperature”, to allow the sperm to develop normally. That is why the scrotum is sometime high with the testes almost inside the body seeking warmth, and at other times (hot weather for instance) the scrotum hangs lower to cool off the testes. Heating the testes will cause damage to sperm.

So, if you want healthy sperm, don’t apply heat to your scrotum. :down:

This is the key. Too much for too long. A brief application of heat during a PE warmup isn’t going to make you sterile.

Hopefully TOO Long. So if I where to be in a hot jacuzzi for a long time I could become permanently sterile? But hot wrapping for 10 minutes will not cause that

I didn’t mean to mislead you in my previous post. A 10 minute hot wrap is not going to harm you, but “excessive and prolonged heat” to the scrotum is not good for the development of sperm. Before I posted my reply to you, I checked the subject at two medical sites and I then posted what I found. If you would like you may also check. However, westla should know, and I would not hesitate to take his advise.

I do know that, from experience, that hot tubs or Jacuzzis are not good for those worried about healthy sperm. If that is no problem, then don’t worry. However, my younger brother and his wife were trying to have a baby and were having problems conceiving. It turned out that every day after work he and his wife would came home and spent some time “relaxing and winding down” with a cold beer in their hot tub. After about 6 months of tests, etc. the hot tub habit was finally discovered, he was told to stop. Within about 4 or 5 months his wife was pregnant. His problem, the hot tub!

People have been sitting in hot jacuzzis and saunas for years and still have children. As Panos implied, you might have a temporary reduction in healthy sperm, but nothing permanent.

Little bit of topic, but I saw this documentary about porn, and several of the male porn-stars used to take long baths in really hot water so that their sperm was killed of and no chance of pregnancy etc. The sterility they achieved was never permanent. If permanent sterility was a result from hot water I think it would be a more known fact. Btw great forum you guys have here! I’m just restarting PE after several attempts to get into it, but I was living at home and I didn’t feel I had the privacy required. Now having moved out I’m trying it out again. C ya.

Using that method of birth control is probably about as effective as pulling out.
