When you do 2, 3, 4 or more stretching sets (in every direction) what’s the proper order?

4 down, 4 right, 4 left..
Or
1 down, 1 right, 1 left.. 1, down, 1 right, 1 left.. 1 down, 1 right, 1 left.

I’m not sure but Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right B, A, unlocks God Mode.

Honestly though - whatever feels like the most effective, feeling the stretch out and getting the most out of your own body might be the best route.

For what it’s worth, I do up, down, left, right. I’ve gained 0.75” BPEL in the past five months by doing this for eight minutes a day. (2 sets of 60 seconds in each direction).

Nice gains! 60 secs each direction? Wow. I’m afraid of pulling it more than 30 seconds. When you say eight minutes a day I suppose you don’t mean every day without rest right?

You are probably going to end up adjusting your manual stretching approach as your hand strength increases.

I noticed that I was able to increase the duration of my sets to multiple minutes after my first 3 or 4 months of consistent manual stretching


Starting (10 / 2011): 6.50 BPEL, 5.50 MEG

Current: 7.50 BPEL, 6.00 MEG

Goal: 8.50 BPEL 6.50 MEG

I started out doing 2 sets of 30 seconds per stretch (per the Newbie Routine). Once I had worked up to doing 4 sets of 30 seconds each, I just switched to 2 sets of 60 seconds each (this was after a couple of months of PE). No, I don’t stretch everyday. I follow a 2 on/1 off schedule. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck!
