Flaccid shrinkage due to bicycle seat.

Flaccid shrinkage due to bicycle seat.

Ok so I started riding a new exercise bike in my home a little more than a week ago. I am not used to it yet so limit it to 20-30 minutes a day. I am pretty fit just not used to the bike.

Well about 3 days ago a noticed soreness behind testicles in perineum. Well after that my flaccid is shrunk almost half the usual size normally 3.75” now 2”. Today its still turtling pretty bad. I have no problem getting hard still have great night wood and morning wood.

I called doctor they told me if there is no more pain I should be ok. If pain comes back I will go in to my physician. I was also told that I should replace the seat with a open middle where perineum is. That is because doctor told me I can get permanent erectile dysfunction from the dam seat.

Now because I tried to get in better shape with an exercise bike I almost permanently damaged the penile arteries in perineum area. I want to know if anyone knows more about perineum friendly bike seats.

Well now I have to hold off on riding my exercise bike till I buy a good seat. Back to running and jump rope my poor knees were doing so good on my bike its good low impact on joints but hard on perineum.

I just hope there is no permanent damage I hate being turtled. I would think a few days away from the bike will return my flaccid to normal. You think a break from pe is needed?

That’s just part of cycling, man. When I ride I turtle immensely from my usual flaccid of 4.25in to even <1in when right off the bike. I recover after a few hours though. Also, get used to low sperm counts as well if you plan to carry on with the sport, lol.

Start: BPEL=16cm EG=13cm

Now: BPEL=18.2cm (approx. 7.2in) EG=13.1cm NBPFL= 13.4cm

Really?! I will start swimming then.

Mi cuerpo sera pequeno, pero mi mente es infinitamente grande.

Aside from the usual shinkage which accompanies exercise I have no problem with bicycle saddles.

In the past the bulk of my saddle-related woes have been a result of either not wearing a chamois, or trying to sit back on the saddle rather than distributing some of my weight properly using my feet and arms.

If you let the pedals hold more of your weight you’re going to be able to crank more efficiently too.

*You're in the right place – all the information you could ever need about PE is only a forum search away!*

Take your time, pick a simple routine you can stick to, and be consistent in your efforts. Patience is the key.

Be careful with the bike. I had some problems (reduced the volume of my ejaculation by 90%, burning sensation in my bladder) after riding a stationary bike.

Pretty much.

I turtle pretty good when I get on the bike, and you end up getting a little numb down there. On extended rides (~15+ miles) I have to stop every once in a while to try and loosen up a bit. I’ve been meaning to get a new saddle, but I’m not interested in dropping a few hundred bucks at the moment.

Put the bike on the curb and get a treadmill :)

I walk a few miles per day on my job. My knees would always hurt after working a full day. I have been taking Omega 3 fish oil pills for the past year and my knee pain has vanished.

I’m not sure what’s wrong with your knees but the Omega 3 pills may help.

I ride to work, and sometimes it’s uncomfortable, but I just get out of the saddle for a bit to give that area a rest.

Well I have never been comfortable on the gym’s bike but always shift things around. I think this time around I will be using the stair master until

I get some decent cycling shorts.

Find a seat that fits you. You should be taking the vast majority of your weight on the bones in your butt not on the perineum. To find a seat that fits you can go to a reputable bicycle shop and try a few out. The seats with the cut out look like a good idea but did not exist when I was racing so I can’t personally vouch for them. There also used to be a seat made for recreational riders that was two big separate pads that made sure you were sitting on your cheeks so you may want to check into that if it is still made. Lastly, when you are riding indoors it is very important that you stand out of the saddle about every ten minutes to keep circulation flowing down there.

I ride a mountain bike not an exercise bike, but I have experimented with different types of saddles. I used to have a seat with the cut out in the middle. I liked it just fine, although the first few rides always left my area between my legs sore. Not right in the middle but just on either side.

Bike shorts helped a lot. They come equipped with padding in the right places. I too turtle big time when riding, but I do also when running or weightlifting. I couldn’t give up riding it’s way too much fun.

PS: I’ve been riding a bike since I was 3 years old, I’m about 30 now and can still get a boner very quickly.

I concur with nowhereman and NonStock about the seats with the cut-outs.It made all the difference in the world for me. And go to a good bike shop to try it out if you’re not sure what you need. Discount stores are ok for parts if you know what you’re getting, but the few bucks difference at a bike shop will be worth it. Here’s some ideas:

Specialized makes the only saddle which is marketed directly for easy load on the prostate and loser circulatory system. I put one (Toupe’) on my new road bike early this year and within a month had to put one on my travel bike as well. Recently I had an injury related to PE and bike riding which I’ve been planing to chronicle in a dedicated thread. It was quite a scare but I came out of it on top.
