The difference, at least from what I’ve found in penis hanging is that you are not looking for the “power lifter” type strength where you do low reps at heavy weight but more of the “bodybuilder” type approach where you do lighter weights for more time. When I started, I mistakenly thought the same thing you do and hung for weight. In only a few short weeks I was up over 25lbs for ten minutes. The result, my dick actually got shorter. I switched the whole routine up, went back and started with 2.5lbs, hung for 3 x 25minutes per day then added 0.5 lb per week and continued. Within in a couple weeks my dick was back to my regular length and a few weeks after that, I had grabbed another 0.25 inch. So to reiterate, this is not a strength contest. Light weights + long time is the best way to go.
