Hello, friends, I’m bobrossx.

I’ll get right to it: my problem with jelqing is that I have issues keeping a semi-erection while doing the techniques. I start off with a 10 minutes stretch and have a nice 40-60% erection that gives me the feeling of “yes, this is working!” whenever I do a wet jelq.

Problem is, that, as time wears down (about 10-12 minutes) my routine, I start to lose the hard-on and start to get a little bit flaccid. This causes me to break my routine and have to either beat off a bit, think of hot porno scenes, or try and watch a video to get me back in the mood. This causes a break in my concentration, and I lose valuable time.

I’m on my first week of PE, and have been doing the complete newb routine (10min stretch and 30min jelq) and have been feeling comfortable with my progress, but I just can’t shake the feeling that I am doing something wrong since I’m both losing some of my erection, and, after I finish my routine, I’m not puffy or more hung than usual. My penis returns to it’s normal state as if I did not do anything at all.. Shit, even during my kegels my dick goes back to about 3.3 FL.

What could I do to improve this? Am I doing too much? I went 5 days this week, M-F, (I feel fine, and my dick feels normal)and plan to take the weekend off.

Some more info for you guys:

I sit in a tub of warm/hot water for the 5 minute warm up.
I do BTC stretches for 10 minutes (these makes me reach the 40-60% erect size)
I do Vaseline jelqs for 30 minutes (here is where most of my interruptions occur)
I sit in the tub of warm/hot water for the 5 minute cool down.
I do 50 kegels: 40 8-second followed by 9 10-second and 1 20-second
Then, I take a shower

When that’s all said and done, I’m puffed, and do not feel any soreness or activity in my meat.
It has only been a week, so who knows? I will stay optimistic!

First off 30 mins of jelqing is a lot for your first week bobrossx. I doubt someone with an unconditioned dick could hanle that amount after a week.

I used to have the jelq erection problem, in fact I had it last night. It gets better as you get more conditioned.

Truth be told I don’t really care now as low erection level jelqing is supposedly better for length anyway.

Is it common to get bored while doing the routines? I have to say that being in my bathroom for about an hour gets a bit tiresome. I cannot PE anywhere else since my home is usually full of people, so I must stimulate myself old school style.

I find it interesting that an almost flaccid jelq would be better for me. I REALLY feel the blood flow when I get a good jelq while semi-erected. Have you had success with other methods?

Yes I get bored, and as I jelq standing up fatigue is actually a small problem also. I have to be honest and state that I have done little jelqing at a high erection level in my short PE career, as I want to focus on length.

Nothing is set in stone in PE however, and just as there is a school of thought that says length first then girth, there is one that added girth may help added length which is the basis for memento’s routine.

One thing you could try is to stretch after you jelq. I tried this but being on the thicker side (5.5+) my dick was too engorged. Secondly, you could split the routine up, one in morning one in night but still keep to the recommended timescales.

I tend to jelq in front of a playing porno so I can gain/lose erection as needed depending on what I want to target. Yesterday I wanted a fuller erection.

There are a number of reasons that your (semi) erection can flag during these sessions, but from the sound of it this is a normal newbie adjustment issue.

Part of it is certainly conditioning, but it should be said that the force used, if it is excessive, can be a problem as well.

Make each jelq firm, but not too intense. Pay attention to the feedback your body is giving you and adjust accordingly. It’s actually okay if the semi falls off a little as you go. But if it seriously starts to tank you are probably using too much force. It’s not about using the force that you can withstand each and every jelq. It’s about using the right amount of force so that the cumulative effect does not overwhelm the organ.

Learning to ride that wave is likely just as much your problem as conditioning is in my humble opinion.

If you get to a point where the semi has really fallen off and you need some porn or something, maybe take a break and come back to it. When you do try to find that sweet spot where you can get through your routine without resorting to porn.

It’s not that you’re doing anything wrong, it’s just that you need to work out what is optimally effective.

Keep at it. You’ll get it.

Would you recommend two routines a day for a beginner?

Well not ideally, but I am little more than a beginner myself. Just stick at the usual newbie for now but reduce the jelqing a lot.

If it’s your first week then ten minutes is ample. It was actually too much for me for to begin with.

Not so much.

It’s a mistake a lot of Newbies make: over training.

The thing is this stuff tends to work best when one takes a ‘physical therapy’ approach to it.

You are not trying to use overwhelming force to ‘make’ changes; you are are using just enough force to encourage changes, and over time they will take place.

If you do too much, your body thinks it is under attack and recoils. A lot of what is done here is learning to find that spot where change can be fostered under the radar of your body’s need to protect itself.

Does that make sense?

One thing: do 50 Kegels (non-erect) a day, every day. That will help to make sure your erections are firm.

You can’t really overdo the non-erect Kegels.

Hey bobrossx,

Switch from Vaseline to olive oil or KY, and jelq really slowly and with a light grip. You will have the opposite problem for sure!

Don’t worry about getting the post workout “pump”, if you start aiming to get the pumped feeling, you will probably overdue it for sure. PE has a cumulative effect, so as long as you are consistent, results will come.

Not to hijack this thread, but why is there a difference between erect and non-erect kegels? I was not aware that doing erect kegels was more taxing on the unit - what problems could arise from overdoing them?

This is good.

I have learned that it is about consistency, and not about going hardcore on each jelq. I must also use new lubes and a varied approach to my grip during a jelq.

Should I really drop down my 30minute jelq session? I can honestly say that it feels good going for that long, but, it also has the negative effect of boring me. A double edged sword.

Hi bobrossx,

Warm up after every 10 minutes or so -You may get the required erection. try it out it works for me.

Although you are doing too much . Stick to newbie routine for at least 3 months .

This shall avoid tissue toughening and you will have less chances of injury, as your dick need conditioning before subjecting it to all sorts of PE forces.

Take it slow and steady..

Ok, I will take follow this advice.

I agree with Lord Harris. Try the jelging exercises first and then the stretching. The stretching is probably burning yourself and as a result you can’t maintain an 80% erection for your jelqing exercises. Besides, you don’t need an erection to stretch.
