Having trouble with downward stretch

I can’t do a downward stretch without bending my body over, which is uncomfortable. My stretched flaccid is around 6 inches. Even with my arm straight down, I can’t pull down far enough to stretch, so I’ve been doing stretching a little diagonally.

I guess I don’t understand why it’s hard to just grab and stretch straight down? If you have to do diagonally, I see nothing wrong with it. We set our own stretching patterns to suit our own levels and comfort. If this is what you have to do, then do it. The main thing is, is that you’re getting results and not hurting yourself. :)

Are you standing up?

If so possibly try it while sitting or laying down.

Laying down you should be able to pull it between your legs, in your crack and pull upwards. That’s about as downwards a stretch as you can get.
