How do you jelq?

This is a question of style, not one of definition. I’ve worked into a routine where it is mostly erect jelqing, but recently it just seems like im getting too much skin and not enough pressure. What would you guys recommend? Also, if I wanted length, should I just go full bore non-erect jelqing straight down?

Why not try some stretching for length first?

I do both stretching and jelqing and they both are helping length and girth

Choose a good lube.

I tried different lubes.now I use Johnsons baby gel. (Not oil)

With this “gel” my hand slips along the shaft even if I press very hard. So I push the blood into my unit without stretching too much the skin.

Yea it’s very important to move slow down the shaft and have a good lube. I use K.Y liquid allows for a smooth glide and allows you to keep a good grip.

I also had that issue about skin.
You could try to place your thumb right above your shaft (press and hold but not very hard, just hard enough to keep the blood in).
From my experience, this has not only helped me get and maintain an erection during jelqing, but has also reduced the skin problem while jelqing.
This little trick has been mentioned by someone here on the forum, I forgot his name, but I’m thankful to that person because it has helped me a lot!

At first it was a bit weird to jelq only using one hand and keeping the other hand on my leg, while my thumb was pressing right above my shaft.
But I got used to it, and now I would find it weird to jelq with both hands again. I’m not going to use both hands anyways, or else I jelq some skin too and have lower EQ.
