How fast should I increase the newbie routine

How often can you add jelqs to a routine and how many?

I do about 100 jelqs per workout but often feel like I could do a lot more if I wanted. It´s the same with stretches. I do 60 seconds in in five directions, 2 sets. How many seconds can I add per workout and how do I know when to stop increasing?

I read in the newbie info that the flaccid expansion after a workout usually stays for an hour or more, but mine seems to shrink after just 10 minutes. Why is that?

I increased with the newbie routine exactly as it says - from 5 min manual stretch and 10 min jelqing to 10 min stretch and 30 min jelquing in 6 weeks.

But then you begin at 200 jelqs and go up to 600 jelqs in three months and 5 sec of stretch per workout. Sounds like a lot to me.

I might sound like a lot but that is the most common newbie routine.

Some guys stay a bit more ‘fluffed’ after PE, some don’t. Don’t worry about it. But if you are turtling to below your normal flaccid size after, you are doing too much.

I started as a newbie again recently so I tried the “advanced linear newbie” routine and it felt like too little. I tried the “default” newbie routine and it was a tad too much (overworked). I started with a single round of 15 second stretches and a 100 jelqs. I’ll probably increase by 20% each week after the first two or three.


RE-RE-Started (21.03.2024): 5.5" BPEL, 4.5" MSEG

Current: 5.5" BPEL, 4.7" MSEG

Current Goal: 6.6" BPEL, 5.3" MSEG -- Long Term Goal: 7.1" BPEL, 5.5" MSEG

I checked the linear routine and it seems to be almost the same as the regular, but with less amount of stress. I guess that was where I started a month ago without knowing it myself. Well thanks for the response, I believe I will keep adding about 10 jelqs and 20 seconds of stretch per week then until I get negative PI´s or reaching the regular newbie-routine rates.
