These are self-reported penis lengths averaged with wife-reported penis lengths (they were each shown a ruler and asked to estimate). Describing larger penis size as a predictor of infidelity strikes me as a bit of a stretch in this case. In my mind, a possibility is that the men whose wives have cheated on them feel less sexual confidence and are thus exaggerating the size of their penises to compensate. If that’s the case, then you might flip around the conclusion: a wife’s infidelity is a predictor for a man over-reporting the length of his penis.

In America, a very confident male, or one with a good reputation or large cock may get cheated on just because of this. The women want to take you down several pegs to feel empowered. So yes, a large cock
or a sexually confident man may get cheated on just to spit in his face. It’s a good percentage that do this, why I feel lucky when you can get a “good” woman who won’t be competitive with you in this manner.

Some guys think a big cock is all you need to please a woman… so I could easily imagine these women looking elsewhere for attention if their man ignores what she’s really looking for thinking he’s got all her needs covered by his own (over valued) opinion of his dick.

And if he gives her attention and dotes on her, is mindful and thoughtful and she still cheats on him, then what? He happens to have a very good package size, and is truly good in the bed, it’s proven over and over again. You think these don’t get cheated on?

It could be that women who prefer larger cocks also have a greater tendency to cheat.

Of course, I did say “some guys” in my suggestion earlier to avoid being caught in just such an argument.

Obviously a guy could get cheated on for no fault of his own… however, to me it seems less likely than the odds of it happening to the guy neglecting his partner.

Any number of things can make a partner feel the need to look elsewhere, and likewise the guy being cheated on can use any number of reasons to protect his ego/pride and justify the betrayal to himself. They don’t have to be legitimate or accurate reasons either.

The study has to be taken as a whole, not just one part of it pulled out and analyzed. I read the whole (and rather boring) study and while the “meat” of the topic about penis size isn’t until the very end, a good deal of info as to why the women cheat can be derived way before you get to that section.

For instance, the society the study was taken was polygamist in nature, so it wasn’t a stretch that the affairs would take place. Secondly, and not surprisingly, the sexual preference of position was a big thing for the women in the study. Which stands to reason that if she’s unsatisfied because the guy doesn’t know how to fuck and gets in positions she doesn’t like, she’s going to go looking for a guy that knows how to please her.

There are other variables as well so It’s not just about penis size.

We’re learning this day and age women are cheating for many reasons, even if they have a perfectly good situation at home. So a good one half of those women who cheated did so out of complete greed. The other half may have done it because of being neglected. In the end no matter what the reason, women are more likely to blame the man when things go wrong. As a man, you have to accept this is how it is and decide to try to work it out or let it go.

As the replies here indicate, there are way too many possible interpretations of the data to really draw any conclusions.

As always happens is these cases. I wonder if the study said that smaller tends to be cheated more, the number of critics would have been the same though.
