my 2 cents on 'ADS only' vs jelqing

my 2 cents on 'ADS only' vs jelqing

I wonder what you guys think of this:

I have been doing ADS-only for about 26 months, and I have gained only 0.5 cm (flaccid) and 1 cm (FSL) in the last 9 months. In the first year the gains were about 1 cm flaccid and 1.5 cm FSL (but I started formally measuring after the newbie gains so I am not 100% sure on this) (fact is I have as slightly bigger penis than before PE: overall erect length is now approx 2 cm longer).
I think these results are a bit disappointing. Some of the other members here report much bigger gains.

!However, I have also done a 6 week decon break during the last 9 months, and I lost 0 (zero!) length and girth, which makes me think that stretching gives real (but modest) gains, and jelqing gives bigger (but non-permanent) gains.

Would this make sense? I feel jelqing slightly bruises the penis on a daily basis, and when you stop doing that, the swelling goes down (i.e. you lose your gains).

I don’t want to do jelqing (for various reasons) so I cannot really judge this of course… which is why I am interested to hear other members’s thoughts.

2cm of permanent length is fine in my opinion no matter how long it took, if the ADS approach works for you why not keep it up ?

As far as jelqing goes it seems to work as well as anything else for most people but like any technique requires a bit of practice.

If you don’t like jelqing for some reason there’s plenty of other things you can do , I’m not a big fan of it myself .

Even if I weren’t interested in a bigger penis, I would still Jelq. It promotes better circulation of blood in the penis. No matter what your regimen is, your final and ultimate goal should be a healthy penis. The general consensus is that Jelqing promotes good penis health.

Why only ADS? Do you not wish to do manual stretches?

Hi gus10129. you say 26 months of ADS. that’s a lot o f time!! But what is really important is how many hours in a day you use it.
So let me ask you: how many hours you have collected in these 26 months?

Why don’t you combine ADS and jelqing?

hi guys,
thanks for the replies.

- why no jelqing: I am very particular about not stretching my skin, as I am very loosely circumcised, and I’d like to gain as little skin as possible (ideally I would ‘grow more into my skin’, but I am not counting on it).
I also had some trouble with oedema around the circ scar long ago (just after the circumcision, which took 2 years to settle (now it’s fine)) and I understand from this forum that some donut/swelling is to be expected. I just don’t want to end up with oedema again.

- time spent on ADS: 26 months - total of 3 months decon = 23 months = 700 days. 4-8 hours/day => 2800-5600 hours. (Holy schmoly!!)

- Manual stretching: I have recently starting doing this, as I can increase the force dramatically if I do so.

(@sleepy278: I personally think that PE in general (incl jelq) is NOT necessarily good for your penis. Stretching and anything restricting circulation for obvious reasons, and jelqing: you force blood out of the capillaries into the penis tissue, which is NEVER good. Yes, we all get away with it, and grow a bigger unit, but my personal biological/medical opinion is that it is not particularly healthy. I don’t have proof, but just think about it: squeezing and pulling your dick on a daily basis in order to permanently change it’s shape doesn’t sounds as something healthy. If I would do that to -say- my cheek or eyelid, would you also say it’s healthy for those body parts?. I am not saying it is UNhealthy either… But to say it promotes health goes a bit far I think)

I don’t know man after all you have nocturnal erections to keep the penis healthy, some form of exercise to augment that surely cant hurt ?

Yeah, I am not 100% sure about this healthy/non-healthy thing … which is why I emphasised that it is my personal feeling. But hey, I am not really worried about it anyway, given the fact I have been stretching for >2 years ;-)

Although an erection is natural, and forcing your penis beyond erection size with either stretch or jelq is a different story

Hi I’ve been using ADS for a month and a half now and I only started to get real gains after combining ADS with newbie routine that includes jelq, stretch and kegel, and warm ups of course and it has boost my gains to almost half inch in 2 weeks

Start BPEL 5.5 EG 5.2 09-20-2011

GOAL 7x6 - on a 5'5 guy it will look huge

cool, congrats.

It’s posts like these that make me think stretching is fundamentally different from jelqing.
I would do it, if it weren’t for the reasons I posted above, plus I don’t have much time/privacy atm.

You misquoted me. I didn’t say all PE in general; I referred exclusively to Jelqing.

Think of Jelqing as a form of massage.

The medical community generally accepts the premise that massage is healthy.

I have undergone deep tissue massage and physical therapy that was down right painful but the certified person administering it informed me of it’s benefits. Incidently, fluid is always leaving the capillaries and going into the tissues via the capillary membranes. It’s a perfectly normal process that goes on continually. It is the result of hydrostatic pressure. It enables the tissues to exchange CO2 and metabolic wastes for O2 and nutrients. The lymph system is responsible for returning the fluids that accumulate in the tissue back to the vascular system. (I’m studying to be an RN so trust me on this).

One of the purposes for exercise, specifically cardio, is to push more blood through the system, improve circulation. Jelqing does that to the penis. That which improves circulation is healthy.

People lift weights and diet to change the shape of their bodies.

Agreed there are some risky practices out there.

I am a medical doctor. So I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree then….

Oedema is generally bad news. It’s when that delicate balance you talk about is disturbed. it shouldn’t be there in a normal, healthy body. yes, the excess fluid leaves via the lymph vessels, but you shouldn’t notice that. Once you notice swelling, it means the system is overwhelmed. That’s exactly what you do by jelqing. Jelqing is NOT a massage… And it’s certainly NOT health promoting. And that exchange of CO2 and metabolic wastes for O2 and nutrients you talk about: that happens anyway. You certainly don’t need oedema for that…

To be clear: I do believe in PE. I just think that by mildly damaging your penis you can enlarge it. But again: it’s not healthy in itself.

I know. I referred to PE in general. I never said I quoted you. I responded to your claim jelqing is healthy by saying PE in geneal (incl. jelqing) is NOT health promoting.

I guess it comes down to how hard you jelq, I certainly found i could easily injure myself jelqing at a level I thought was very light so it’s not a technique I’m keen on, On the other hand plenty of people find it gives them a great improvement in EQ , I don’t think anyone’s promoting jelqing to the point of edema !

Always good to have a doctors opinion though :-)

PE has helped my overall health

It seems to me that PE in general and jelqing in particular is somewhat like any training routine or sport; it can have its drawbacks but the pros must outweigh the cons or you shouldn’t do it. Why waste your time otherwise? I’ve only been at PE for less than a year and the gains are worth it. MY EQ has improved and my desire has also; this has helped me with my efforts to improve in my general health habits. Now this is mainly due to wanting to continue to have great sex with my wife, but my PE has been a big part of my improved health (and I’m 59 yr old).

And you perform PE, you crazy fool obsessed with penis dimension :)

Just kidding. I’m not a medical doctor, but always thought PE is damaging our penis.

So, do you have perform 2800 or 5600 hours of ADS? 2 cm for 2800hours isn’t so bad.
