I read this post and just didn’t want this member or any other newbie to hurt himself. PE is no joke, and it does work, and it could also mess up your sex life, or worse, especially the younger crowd, just being a little overzealous. I didn’t want to single out the younger guys but they do have that “no fear, balls-to-the-wall” attitude.
Again, read till your eyes hurt. I’ve been reading about 20 to 30 hours a week and taking notes, and just trying to plan a strategy for when the gains stop. Listen to the guys that built this forum and go slooowww, dammit!
Check out the injury threads in this forum if you don’t believe me. Let’s just call that, part of the learning process.
Well, I’m an old fart, and started gaining, and got a little carried away thinking “Newbie Routine, who needs it!?” The injury wasn’t that bad, but it set me back, and made me rethink what I was doing. So I’m back on the Newbie Routine and still gaining and going very, very, slow and easy.
57 going on 20.

“Just like I’m going to do again”?
Careful of establishing bad habits around here. :leftie:
I’m going to echo Lampwick: your advice has good content. Please give serious thought now to form.
You love the comma, but when the sentence ends (i.e. the thought), use a period. As an English speaker, and one that seems to have a good, level-headed perspective on PE, you can help us all out by making your posts as intelligible as possible. Thunder's Place has an international web-membership (as you must be aware with all the reading you’re doing), with many speaking English as a second or third language. Those of us who use it as a native language need to help out by making their posts as clear as possible.
Old fart that you are, you qualify.
Welcome to Thunder's. The coffee’s over there.
Now. Back on topic.

Okay. Let’s just dial that one back a smidge, ok?
Try this:
Quote
10 minute warm Up
10 minutes or 200 Jelqs (dry or wet, whatever works best for you), whichever comes first at no greater that 80% erection (60% is ideal)
5-10 minutes Manual Stretches in all directions (adding a few V-Stretches if you want).
5 minute warm down
50 Kegels (non-erect) of five second holds each1 on/ 1 off: except Kegels, which are done daily.
That’s a little more intense than the Newbie Routine, but it’s enough to make a big difference. You’ll notice I put Jelqs ahead of stretches. This idea is worth looking into and experimenting with.
Incrementally (and by ‘incrementally’ I mean small adjustments upward) add to this as the weeks go by.
You are not going to help yourself gain quicker by piling on to your routine, and your days on/off schedule is too intense for a beginner. You also leave out the Kegels, which are essential to penile health - especially if you are subjecting it to stress. Don’t make that mistake.
Put your focus on doing the exercises correctly. As you begin, really observe what works and try to tune in to your body’s response to what you do. Heighten your sensitivity and be methodical. Invictus has it right: it’s about consistency, but it’s also about awareness. You’ve just begun your PE journey; don’t go so fast that you ignore critical, but subtle signs from your body. You should think in terms of working with what you’ve got, rather than using force to accomplish your goals.
PE is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
