Penis Size Natural Selection

I was just wondering if anyone has ever taken a sort of Darwinian approach to penis size. In that the average sized cock is the size that women on average prefer the most as that is the size that has been duplicated the most in the gene pool. Ie. If girls liked a 10’ cock the best, then everyone with a 10’ cock would get laid more often then the rest, and thus produce more offspring than the rest and so 10’ cocks would become more apparent in the gene pool. The same would be said for any size of cock. Thoughts on this?

There are more factors than just the choice of women.
I think that average penis size must have shrinked at least 1 inch worldwide, in the recent 10-20 years, just because of the effects of food and pullation.

Also there are cultural and religious restraints forced down on women, deeply affecting their choices.

Women DO prefer bigger dicks I think, but it’s just factor among many of the criteries they have.

Evolution will drive dicks to the optimal size, with “optimal” being what is best suited for survival of the individuals to reproductive age and the ability of individuals to actually reproduce.

Really big dicks are a drain on biological resources, much like a peacock’s feathers. They interfere with running, get snagged in pricker bushes (ouch), and require a lot of blood and energy to get erect. They also require a lot of protein to build. Hence, there are biological advantages to being small.

Human brains have gotten much larger over the past couple of million years. This has produced enormous pressure on females to accommodate larger heads during childbirth. It’s likely that the vagina has grown and perhaps become somewhat looser to meet these demands.

Smaller guys may have a harder time reaching orgasm with the larger vaginas. Larger guys would thus have a reproductive advantage, because they would receive more stimulation and orgasm more quickly. On the African savannah, speed is essential!

So (and this is my theory), I think possibly the evolution of the human brain has favored larger vaginas, which in turn have favored larger penises for successful reproduction.

Female preference might play a role, but it’s not essential for the theory to work.

Natural Selection. Sure if things were created as they were, others involved might like it. Natural selection can also be seen as survival of the fittest. In our case, this could mean that bigger dicks are the winners. Or another thing that comes to my mind is evolution. Penis evolving into monsters and yadda yadda yadda.

If we all walked around naked and girls selected men based on penis size, maybe Darwinism would kick into play more. Humans already have larger penises than other apes, so as MM suggests, it has happened to some degree already. Women are more interested in whether a man is likely to be a good partner and provider, so the size of bank balance and car may come before penis size! :D

Well, once they meet a hung alpha guy, they may change their ideas :)

In addition, non-human primates, with the possible exception of bonobos, tend not to do much in the way of “foreplay” before sex. (In a lot of species, “sex” = rape.) Before our ancestors developed complex social systems including an elaborate sex act with foreplay and whatnot, I don’t think a dick bigger than the average that evolution produced would have been a useful thing: most women have to be very aroused before accomodating what we consider a “large one” (8x6) without pain.

But if you have a 10” cock and you are a jerk, then you are going to get laid.

One other point. If everyone had a 10” cock, then that would be average and everyone would want to be larger.

It’s not all about penis size, my penis is above average. It has to do with looks, personality and everything else. Just because some one has a 10 inch doesn’t mean that women are going to sleep with him. Stamina also plays a big part it just various on individual.

If we would go around naked and the women would only choose larger penis sizes, the men with the smaller size, the majority, would kill the larger size guys. Average would win the evolution!

Larger guys have won in evolution. That’s why our dicks are 10x bigger than gorillas’.

I think I understand your point, but it doesn’t exactly mean what I was intending to bring up. I know that humans have one of the larger phalluses to body size ratio then other animals and thus it indicates that the size is important to the females. However, what does it mean if after say 1000 years of women picking men, the phallus is roughly lets just say 6’ average (for sake of argument). I’m not trying to start fights or anything, just wanted to bring something up and see some opinions on it. Some of them have been quite interesting.

Agreed, that’s the main point — I was just adding a qualifier about why the size may not have grown to the size that many men think is ideal for women’s pleasure under ideal circumstances.

It’s a good thing my gorilla killa unit was able to teach my ancestors to make tools, walk upright, increase the size of the brain, developing nuclear bombs. Now if it would only learn how to swing from trees, climb tall buildings, work the remote and open a beer can we would be unstoppable. Now before anyone rips me a new one, I was only trying to say, as I’m sure you all know, that there was more to climbing the evolutionary chain than having a bigger wang than a gorilla.
