There are a few things I’d like to know before jumping in. I’d appreciate input from anyone who could help.

Is there such a thing as “normal” morning wood/night wood? I know I have morning wood sometimes, definitely not all mornings, but I have never paid close attention to the frequency. Is this something you guys track to find a “baseline” before starting a routine? I’m not sure I would know how to read the feedback I’m getting otherwise.

I couldn’t find much info searching here about death grip syndrome (DGS). I know this is something I suffer from, and I’m working to get over it with lube and Fleshlights rather than my hand. The loss of sensitivity from this has affected my performance with women a couple times in the past, and I’m wondering if it could also affect the frequency of morning wood.

Finally, the warning about venous leakage made me hesitant to start PE. One thread described symptoms of losing an erection after it starts, which is something I have experienced. I believe those instances for me are related to DGS, or just psychological reasons, but I wonder if it isn’t a sign of something more. Is there any sort of test that can be done to find out one’s risk for venous leakage?

Morning and night wood were not completely understood or explained by science yet, still most of if is a "mystery". Here we like to think that these involuntary woods are a good thing (Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!).

If you never PEd before, you should get them regularly and after you start, they should got increased (hardness mostly). Assuming that you sleep 8 hours per night, those woods could be happening while you are passed out, so you won’t be noticing.

How many times per day do you use the flashlight?

The first consequece of "over-use" is variations in EQ. Too much of anything is always bad news.

Don’t worry too much mate.

Just don’t pull and push too hard and you will be fine.

You need a grip that tight that will give you a relaxed feeling not a constant feeling of alert and concentration. You know just something that is firm but at the same time feels natural and easy doing it.

When you see yourself worrying too much or tensed while on a routine, loosen the grip,until you feel that you don’t have to worry, that this is fine.

I can’t explain it better.
