I typically take long time coming - both vaginally and orally. I estimate that I come every 90 minutes of sex.

I have read several times that PE can “help you last longer”. That is not at all what I want to do. Why does PE help you last longer? What are the risks of lowered sensation?

When we talk about lasting longer due to PE, generally it is a result of increasing control over certain muscles and gaining control of when we orgasm/ejaculate… it is not an increase in time due to a decrease in sensitivity.

With that said, people do go overboard trying to gain too much too fast and injuries do happen and decreased sensitivity can be a result.

Always err on the side of caution.

Would you say that the newbie routine is cautious enough or should I do less than that?

I find that I have reduced sensation from exercises such as jelqing, clamping, bends, basically girth work. The reduced sensation causes me to last longer in bed. The reduced sensation can last up to a month after I stop girth work. During some trials sensation is reduced so much that I am numb, unable to cum. Length work has the opposite effect, making me more sensitive in the long run.
