Should I be able to see any temporary difference immediately after exercises?

I hear things like people saying they get excited when they see a difference right after exercises, the difference goes away though, but they do see it.

If I can’t tell I did anything after I finish the newbie routine, is that normal?

Give it time, Edaw. PE is a marathon, not a sprint. Keep with the program.

You’ve just started. You’ve just started the Newbie Routine. Please, KEEP GOING for a month or three, and then let us know how you’re doing. You may not detect a difference early on. Give it a fair trial, and see whether you notice a difference.

Azyteddy’s recommendation of the PI thread is a very good one.
