Stretch only for a newbie?

Hello, my first post. I am 45. I did read the newbie routine.

Stretch mostly gives length, and jelq mostly girth? Or they multiply somehow?

What do you think I can expect in terms of results, if I skip jelq and just do stretch? I can fit that into my shower in the morning. The hot water as warm up and then pull 5x30s with some pauses between each of the 5. Then I can stretch a bit during each toilet visit etc.

(I will add jelq when I can but right now trying with just stretch.)

I was asking how the two exercises fit together, why both are recommended in the newbie routine instead of just one of them, and why in that particular order inside the routine. What does each of them add, that the other does not contain, and what do both give together as a synergy? That is, the components of each and how they fit together.

I use only stretching so far because a) easy to perform in shower in the morning and b) it is much easier to notice a length increase.

Several years ago, I performed wet jelqing for a month or two. I have always suspected that the experiment did grow me approximately one cm length and maybe a bit girth (I don’t measure it), but that effect might just as well be due to a difference in measuring technique. And/or better EC. Anyway, for some reason I did not continue.

I now think I may have been jelqing incorrectly back then. Maybe you would be so kind and help me in the right direction? First of all, I am uncut. I used lube and did what I had to do to get a 60-80% erection. The lube was used so the fingers would slide over the penis skin while holding the penis skin at the root, so it would not move with the fingers and hence not slide against the inner penis tissue. Although the descriptions here are not really saying that is wrong, I now suspect instead the fingers should grip/hold the penis skin and not slide across it, and instead let the movement be between the penis skin and the inner penis. It’s hard to describe.. But one is sliding of hand against penis skin, and the other of penis skin against inner penis.

Welcome to Thunders, Jelqing and stretching do work together they compliment each other, stretching only stresses the tunica in one direction where jelqing expands it by by pressure in all directions, Jelqing tends to help with EQ more as well, however its work is concentrated on the upper three quarters of the penis, but stretching hits ligaments and the whole length of the tunica if done correctly, that is why they are suggested together. The reason they are in the newbie routine in that order is that it is easier to get a good grip on your unit before you put lube all over it.

Basically the differences you have described are the differences between wet Jelquing and dry Jelqing, however wet Jelqing is advised for newbies as it is a bit less intense than dry Jelqing.

Great answers, thank you! Any point in splitting the two up, or is it better to do them inside one routine? (I heard some gym routines do different parts of the body on different days, but of course it’s a bit more advanced than a newbie gym routine.)

Yesterday evening I added jelqing. Shower as warm-up, then stretching first 5 direction x 10 secs then 2 x 5 directions x 30 secs.

Added lube “baby oil” and did jelqing some 30x just to get a feel for it again. Easier to get semi-erect after the stretching, but still tricky to keep good constant level. It became a mix between dry and wet, in the sense that the fingers slipped across the skin, AND ALSO the skin slipped across the inner penis tissue.

Yes you can split them up, I often jelq in the morning and do some stretching at night, it just means two warm ups, and a warm wet wash cloth or a rice sock works better than the shower to heat up your unit, however the shower is a good clean up if you use a water based lube.

You can always try using some porn to keep you semi erect, or look at some of those beautiful Swedish women in your country, I swear if I was there my dick would never be soft.

Stretching isn’t only beneficial before jelqing. I’ve read from more experienced members that they will always stretch to condition the penis before other exercises, even hanging.

Behemoth, yes girls here look quite nice.. But personally I get more turned on by exotic dark girls. These days there are plenty of those here too so it’s maybe no longer AS exotic as when I was young. :)

I will measure but I think my BPEL now is typically 16-16.5 cm and then on rare occasions reaching towards 17 cm. In my experience 16.5 cm is very average among Scandinavian caucasians. I wouldn’t call it small but it’s definitely nothing to brag about. A topic best avoided. :-D

First goal is to measure consistently 17cm or above. It will convince me and motivate me a lot to continue! Then 18cm would be BIG and then 19cm VERY BIG and of course 20cm (8”) is EXTRA LARGE. Seems very far from me right now, no use setting such a goal I think. Any hints how to set the goals best?

(BTW, about the videos, everything works fine at work where I have a windows laptop. But at home, both my Android phone and my Android Pad, the videos do not work. The downloaded files are very small and corrupted. I tried several browsers and all have same issue.)

I’ve just tested and the videos download fine for me in Android but then you need an unzip utility and something other than the default video player to play them e.g. VLC. They are not aimed at mobile, so they use a common format for desktops.

Yeah I know movies are in ZIP files. I got a few KB mostly, but once I got a full movie.

Got VERY surprised today. After warmup SFL was 13cm. Gah. So short! But BPSFL was 17cm! Then did 5x30 sec stretch. Measured again: SFL 14cm! And BPSFL was 17.8cm!! OMG! This really MUST be an improvement after my random stretching this last month.

As I understand after reading here, BPSFL is sometimes higher than BPEL. So I don’t yet know if there is a measureable BPEL increase. Something is happening though.. That’s for sure.

I got 90% erection, measured at 16.5 then two secs later it was 15, then one sec later 14.. Meh. However, pulling the half erection out got me above 17cm. My measurements vary TOO MUCH for any kind of scientific study, but I suppose results will still be very obvious later.

Thanks man. Yea pretty much. Added in some edging and have experimented with different jelqing duration.
