Time of sets for clamping

What’s the consensus regarding set times for clamping? Big Girtha and Bigger did 10-minute sets, drilla9 did 15 minutes, and juke did 20 minutes per set. It seems that they all spent around 1 hour per day in the clamp. Is it better to do several shorter sets, or a few longer ones?

Right now I’m progressing my set times, was doing 3x10 minutes, now 3x11 minutes and I’m planning on increasing by one minute per set until I get to 20 minutes or discomfort, whichever comes first. Maybe I should be adding more sets instead, though.

You can’t compare yourself to others with an advanced PE technique. Listen to your dick. I recommend taking it very slow with clamping.

I think a 1 minute per week progression is pretty slow, just want to know if I’m progressing the right way (increasing time rather than sets).

I do not experience fatigue or negative PIs, it’s like clamping does nothing, so it’s a little humorous for me when I read about people freaking out about hurting themselves with light jelqing.

Last time I clamped, which was a few years ago, I did 3x10 minutes daily for 3 months with zero gains. Same deal, no fatigue, no negative PIs. Cursed with an adamantium schlong.

PI’s are important. It doesn’t take much to cross the line. In my opinion clamping gains come around 8-12 months in.

I edge while i clamp i get realy engorged. I do 3 sets of 10 mins after every set i weight until in flaccid then jelq until semi then clamp again and then edge while i watch porn. I enjoy it

Is that typical? I need to wait a full year to know if I’ve been doing things right or not? It seems to me that gains come either slowly, or not at all. Slow is fine, nonexistent for several months on end is not. Would I really have to clamp for 8-12 months to expect to measure a 0.1” increase?

I edge while clamped and do pretty much the same routine (minus the porn). I also get quite engorged, but I doubt it’ll lead to gains, since it didn’t before.

Maybe your a really hard girth gainer. Im lucky i gain girth very easily.

We all learn what works well for us. You can ask for what’s reasonable but everyone grows at a different pace. The one thing that did it for me was ensuring I use constant heat.

I agree heat might be the single most important element in PE along with consistency. My heat routine consist of..

15 min heat pad warm up

After my budled stretch 3 mins back on the heat pad.

After manual stretches 5 mins on the heat pad.

After jelqing 3 mins on the heat pat.

Pump while i pump i wrap the pad around the tube.

I warm up with a rice sock beforehand and intermittently edge with the rice sock itself (re-warming as needed) during sets. Definitely agree that heat is crucial.

I am a tremendous hard gainer. Judging by what I’ve read on these forums, I may have the most durable dick ever. I’ve only done it once, but even weighted clamping is no issue for me.

The good news is that my soft tissues can handle a lot. The bad news is, so can my TA. I think that once I get up to 1 hour of volume, if I don’t see gains I will have to start incorporating weights. If volume, heat, frequency, and consistency are all high, the only missing variable would be intensity.

If I do something for 3 months consistently and gain nothing at all, something would need to change. I can’t just wait 9 more months hoping that at that point what I’ve been doing will suddenly become productive. That is a huge waste of life.

It’s never a waste of time. I didn’t see serious gains for a very long time. It’s why we remind everyone it’s a marathon. In my opinion three months simply enough time to see any meaningful changes.

I’m not talking about meaningful changes, I’m talking about one-tenth of an inch. It doesn’t even have to be that, just SOME indication that I’m doing anything to change my penis at all, i.e. increased expansion while in the clamp, fatigue, a PI change, etc.

I appreciate that you’re trying to err on the side of caution and encourage patience, but this just seems excessive. If something is doing nothing for months on end, you have to adapt.
