When reading around in thunders..

I hear guys saying that if you do not get night wood it means that you have low testeosterone levels. Is this true? What the hell does night wood(nocturnal erections) have to do with your testerone levels?

Another thing they is, if you masturbate during the day perhaps once or twice you won’t get as much, or even no night woods at all!?

If you do the math,
No night wood = low test level,
Day masturbation = less night wood/low test !?

AND another thing I hear often is, erection is like a use it or lose it thing. The more erections you have, the better. Is this true?

Of course another bull crap I read is that if you blow a load then you will have lesser testosterone levels at that moment untill your body regulates it back to the normal level afterwards.

Man there are so many people with all sorts of opinions. I want to be careful yet I don’t want to buy in to everyone and be so gullible. Who am I to trust? I’m so confused!

Sometimes night wood is caused from lack of non REM sleep.

I agree if you jerk off you may have less night wood. Less night wood in this case is not the end of the world. But if your not compensating and you have no night wood you may have ED.

Masturbation/sex increases testosterone levels, ejaculation is normal test levels quickly rebound.

If you refrain from ejaculation for one week your test levels increase. But after 7 days they plummet, so keep on jerking off it is healthy for the prostate. Have at least 3 wet ejaculations per week.

I read in another thread(I think it was you who posted it) that less “deep/quality” sleep can result to loss of night wood. And another suggestion that was mentioned is, if the fellow had way too deep of rem sleep that by the time he wakes up, he find himself flaccid when infact, there might be a possibility that although he was hard it faded while he was waking up.

Your body compensates by getting hard at night for not taking the “dog” for a “walk” in the park? So there’s this daily erection count that’s fixed for all of us? Either you jack off conciously or jack off sub-conciously. If you wanker enough awake body does’nt get the dick erect itself?

It’s rebounds after ejaculation but back to the normal level even after ejaculating 5 times?

Wow you have no idea how many times I’ve read that. There is a solid scientific thread against this in another forum but it’s against the rules to post a link to another forum I believe?

I don’t edge because I tend to get vasocongestion of the epididymis/”blue balls”.

I just don’t see how you can make an across the board recommendation to have “at least” three ejaculations (which are always wet, unless you’re prepubescent) per week.

There are at least two major studies suggesting that frequent ejaculation is associated with a lower incidence of prostate cancer:
