I followed the newbie routine and didn’t gain much, but it did prepare me for clamping. I did jump into clamping a little early maybe, but I was ready for it. I think I waited two or three months before I first
started experiencing with clamping, or maybe it was horse440s on my second month. It is hard to remember. I don’t think I gained much at all with the newbie routine though. Maybe an 1/8th of an inch of EG
and about the same in length. The newbie routine is necessary to become conditioned though, and I really don’t see any way around it. Some guys are luckier and end up with a quarter inch of EG their first
three months and the rest aren’t as lucky. I would say typically you can expect at least a 1/16th-1/8th of an inch of uncemented EG gains, and about a 1/4 of an inch in BPEL within a three month newbie
routine on average. Newbie gains for the most part may not be cemented gains and could be lost fairly easily. During my first eight months of PE I would lose my newbie gains over a wild weekend of too much
alcohol for instance. The lost gains would always come back within a few days of consistent PE though. I didn’t start cementing gains until I adopted a more aggressive approach to PE of about 6 days on and
one off, or just took days off when I needed them. Even then some gains could be quickly lost, but quickly put back on again.
Current stats: [7.5 BPEL * 4.9 EG]
GOAL: [8 NBPEL * 6 EG]
Perception is reality.
