What's the correct grip for stretching?

Hello all,

Old time PE’er here and it feels almost wrong to be asking this question now, but I have never really stretched that much and did most of my length stuff with hanging.

The way I grip my penis is pretty much by squeezing the head on each side and often I need some blood inside the head (not much, say maybe 5-10% maximum beyond 100% flaccid) for my grip to hook.

Is the grip supposed to be behind the head? I’m not sure how to do that. The way I do it seems to be the only way.

Recently I’ve been doing a lot more manual stretching and it made me really wonder if I have been doing it wrongly all this time. I had some slight pain here the other day after working out, so I just have to make sure.

I too, would like to know. I feel like I’ve been doing more harm than good recently.

I’m no expert but I just keep an “OK” grip behind my head and stretch.

It takes a lot of pull before I lose my grip ! , I believe this is a good way to do it.

+1 to the above statement.

You should avoid doing your stretches after wet jelqing, because the leftover lube is likely to get in the way.

Basically I do it with an under- or overhand grip, depending on the direction I’m stretching into. But I rather use 2 or even 3 fingers to close the grip. A lot of heat and then I opt for a certain way to do stretches.

I use an overhand ok grip behind the head and my middle finger will be griping the head. When I pull upwards, I change this to a V-grip (V-Jelq style) and it has worked great for pulling and doing rotary/crank pulls.

Behind head, OK grip. Sounds like a slippery experience grabbing the actual head….

What I do to prevent slipping is, take a piece of toilet paper (1 piece) fold it around the head then OK grip, and there is a good stretch without slipping of.

I just can’t figure out how to actually do this. If it matters, I’m not circumsized and have a decent amount of foreskin.

I think I always start out actually gripping behind the head, but invariably it ALWAYS slides forward when I start pulling such that I end up gripping the actual head.

Any suggestions?

An OK grip but sometimes when hands are tired from lifting weights, so alternate OK with palm on top behind head of penis and 3 fingers on bottom. I’ve realized whatever grip its not to squeeze/grip to tight.

I use powder to prevent slipping.

This happens to me and I just regrip or just don’t worry about it slipping.

Overhand, underhand ,, am I the ONLY one that finds jelqing and stretching with my palms faceing east and west, the most comfortable way to do it ??

Gold Bond Body Powder is excellent for grip. A travel size will last a very long time and costs $1 at wal-mart.

I don’t think powder would help as the problem is that the grip is slipping internally, not on the skin where I’m actually gripping.

My personal stretching routine is pretty intense, and so I try not to put too much pressure on the head of my dick by using the small internal bundle where the penis meets the head to pull from. Renholder I have the exact same problem you do. I’ve read to grip 1 inch behind the glans and the result is that I will stretch my skin towards my glands and inevitably over resulting in a loss of grip and sometimes pain. I’ve tried gripping right behind the glands which sometimes work but with with great pulling force the skin starts to fold over the glans. The only grip that I’ve been able to hold successfully for longer periods of time with much force is while gripping my actual glands.

I’d love any more input from veterans who have other tips and tricks to help with the problem. I’ll try the suggestions listed to see if that helps.
