Why Cool Down?

Why Cool Down?

It seems most routines suggest starting and ending with heat. I understand that starting with heat may reduce likelihood of spotting and even may make the tissue more pliable. True? So what is the appeal of the cool down?

Heat accelerates chemical reactions. Heating inflamed tissue can help accelerate the healing process. Heat dilates blood vessels, increasing the blood flow in that region. This helps flush inflammation out of the area as well as increasing the delivery of healing nutrients to the injury.

Ice is generally used during the “acute” phase of an injury and acts to take away pain and swelling. Since we don’t deliver that level of “injury” during PE, nor do we want to reduce blood flow or “swelling” i.e. that “plumped” feeling (imagine how your penis shrinks when in cold water), then heat seems wise. We look to increase blood flow to the area following PE activity which aids healing and growth.

It is used in warm-up as an aid to make tissues more “pliable”, such as when we warm-up prior to exercise.

01/08/07: 5.75" BPEL, 5.25" EG ::: 26/05/10: 7.3" BPEL, 5.4" MSEG, [My Progress Pics] - [My Routine]

Revised Min Final Objective: [/b] 7.75" BPEL (33% increase), 5.5" MSEG

The thought is that it could keep your penis elongated and engorged better, (think locking it into place) and I agree with it just from personal experience.
