Its also a kind of naughty topic for the evening news. At best it could be run as something to laugh about, like a cat rescued by firemen, or neighborhood kids with a lemon aide stand. Imagine, studies actually do exist that say penis extenders work, but there is no mention of that on the news. (Believe them or not, they are still something you can point at and say “studies show.”)
Money could have a lot more to do with it than you would think. I have a friend who teaches journalism. The other day we were talking and she told me that on talk shows, nearly everything they talk about is driven by corporations. The things they are talking about are owned by the same corporate group in some way or another. It makes sense. If you own the company that puts Ellen on air, and you own Lady Gaga’s tour management company, you would sell more tickets if Lady Gaga went on Ellen, so you make sure it happens.
Manual PE isn’t making anyone money, so people running the media have no incentive to talk about it. It being a little bit taboo gives you a little disincentive to talk about it. So probably you just never get around to talking about PE.
