A theory I wish to test

A theory I wish to test

A long time ago I read on some pay site that being in a good physical shape is vital for good gains. I read that on a testimonials page. There was a guy who didn’t see gains for quite a while and when he asked the owner of the site for help, he was told to do cardio exercises - ride a bike and stuff like that, after which he, supposedly, got good gains. I want to test this theory.

Are you an easy or a hard gainer? As far as I have seen here on Thunder’s, the only “official” theory that sheds some light on this subject is the LOT theory.

However, four days ago, in the main forum, Navarro posted his report after his first month of PE. He started PEing just two weeks before me, with the same starting length of 5.1” and with a very low LOT (the same as mine). After one month, he has gained an inch, and I can’t say that I gained anything after my first three weeks.

I think that an important factor for his gains is his overall physical shape. He says that he makes exercise three times a week, and from other things he said I conclude that he’s in great shape. I, on the other hand, am in a poor shape. I have started exercising a month ago, but I have a loooong way to go just to get in the average shape. And I’m not fat at all. I just never practiced sports.

Veterans here always say that everybody’s body is different and that it’s therefore difficult to predict how quickly any particular individual will gain. But I have a problem with accepting this approach. We are all humans here, and we all have penises which are built in the same way. There are no Klingons, Romulans or Vulcans on this forum. So there has to be a scientific explanation why some gain easyly and some don’t. Maybe this theory is a piece of the puzzle.

I want to ask you to answer these questions.

Do you consider yourself an easy or a hard gainer?

What was your LOT when you started PEing?

How would you describe your overall physical shape?

Have you, by yourself, noticed a difference in your gains based on your physical shape?

Well I have sport equipment similar to bike at home. I do 10 min cardio training morning and 10 min afternoon everyday. I am in a good shape at my age 43. I go to the gym twice a week. I keep healthy lifestyle. I do PE for a month now with no erect gains just flacid gains. So I am a hard gainer I guess.

But I think I was overdoing PE. I tried some bends recently and my penis started shrinking flacid and morning wood was not that good. Those bends were way to early I guess. So I stopped doing any bends stretches and dry jelq just wet jelq for 10 minutes and I will see what happends. Flacid is comming back but my ligaments (or tunica) still are a bit painfull sometimes.

Talking about training, it helps train your blood vessels (cardiotraining) and lovers your cholesterol which is good for vessels again. Heavy weights on large muscle groups builds up testosterone. It might be important or might be not. The thing is I don’t know why PE works for some and how it works internally. So I only can speculate about it.

Easy or Hard gainer?:
Not sure. I’ve been doing PE for over 5 years and gained about 1.5” length. That sounds like hard gainer, but considering the tiny amount of exercise time I’ve put in I believe I’ve made some of the best gains around. I attribute this to long down time between rising and falling bouts of interest in PE. I start, make gains, gains stall, I lose interest and take a break, then the cycle repeats. I sometimes think 3 weeks on, 2 months off would be optimal if I had the discipline.

What was your LOT when you started PEing?
I don’t know that as LOT theory hadn’t been invented then. It’s always remained the same (between 8-9) since I first ever measured though (when the idea was first posted on this board). I don’t do any lig specific exercises as I target purely tunica. I’m sure ligs have factored into the gains though. If I did target ligs then perhaps the gains would be much greater, but it’s not what I’m interested in.

How would you describe your overall physical shape?
About average.

Have you noticed a difference based on physical shape?
When I started PE I was in average shape. I got into diet and training for a couple of years and got into excellent shape. I lost interest after a tough period on my life and am now back to average. I didn’t notice any PE related changes other than fat pad. I intend to get back in shape for all the benefits it brings, but PE isn’t one of my reasons. Perhaps it would benefit in the very short term due to rising Testosterone levels upon starting exercise lifestyle, but I would expect any (hormonal) benefits to be pretty short lived due to adaptation.

I´m not sure if being in good shape has helped me in my gains, (I´m not Mr. Olympia) but perhaps there´s a correlation between easy gains and exercises that increases blood circulation around the middle/low part of your body.

Usually, I walk everyday for at least 20 minutes (walking fast) because the bus station is far from my house, lol. Other exercises I do push ups, abs, squat, calf raises, chins, and some aerobic exercises, but I do them just to keep me in good shape, therefore my routine doesn´t last more than 30 minutes, three times a week.

I´m trying to find out what exactly helped me with my gains, in order to keep doing that. I think waking up early is good, since your hormone levels are highest as soon as you wake up, also I feel more focused when I´m PEing very early in the morning. Besides that, I consider as a key giving enough rest to my penis and avoid overtraining, I believe it´s important to take it easy, at least in the beginning of everything, listening to your body signals. Also, I don´t know if its because of PE, but this month I´ve been eating like a gorilla, hungrier than ever! Does that mean anything?

What was your LOT when you started PEing?
Between 6 and 7, not sure

How would you describe your overall physical shape?
More or less, I´m in my ideal weight, not skinny, not much muscle.

Have you, by yourself, noticed a difference in your gains based on your physical shape?
Nope, this is my first month.

Anyway, don´t give up Nemanja, gains will come for you, just keep on the race friend!!

I’d say average. When I’ve put in good, honest and intense work I have gained but it’s been fairly slow most of the time. (Some quick newbie gains though.)

No idea. Don’t care much for the theory since I don’t think it explains the anatomical significance of itself properly. Have never “measured” LOT.

Far above average. I run at least 4 days a week, hit the gym 2-3. And I ride a bicycle wherever I go. So my cardiovascular health is extremely good. (Oddly enough I have a little localised fat pad right at my pubic bone that doesn’t quite go away…)

I’ve always been in good shape so there’s nothing for me to compare to. I’ve gained a little weight now and then (about 15 lbs at the most) but that’s about it.

Do you consider yourself an easy or a hard gainer? Too soon to really tell but I would say easy right now.

What was your LOT when you started PEing? Around 7

How would you describe your overall physical shape? Not bad and getting better. Three to four days a week in the gym on a pretty heavy weight training schedule. I will look like the bowflex dude by August. Really.

Have you, by yourself, noticed a difference in your gains based on your physical shape? I started working out again in August of last year (2004) and I believe it has made a big difference in my overall appearance and condition. I started PE after I began working out in the gym, so I can’t really answer this one.

It all boils down to this: Only good can come from a regular, controlled exercise routine. Be like Nike, just do it.

Bib had another theory that people gained better when they were sick or dieting. He thought that anything that slowed repair of connective tissue would help us. As he told me in a recent email, the best candidate for successful PE is guy lost in a rowboat in the middle of the ocean with scurvy.

Enter your measurements in the PE Database.

Modesto,

Not wishing to hijack this thread, but is sounds like Bib is saying we should tilt the accumulation/degradation balance in favour of lysis. If that’s true, then we should avoid the GAG’s (condroitin sulphate, glucosamine, hyaluran) and the support supps (Vit-C being the obvious one), and load up on proteolytic enzymes (ahem Bromelain, ahem), and calcium ion blockers. Although I see the theory, I can’t help thinking that the results wouldn’t be the smoothest undulating collagen every created (not that I’m saying that does or doesn’t matter - I don’t know).
