Well let’s see if I can finesse an answer for you. It depends on how long you have been doing PE and what you are actually doing. If you are just manually stretching and jelqing etc., then I think it is ok to do both. But if you advancing to more intence PE such as hanging or intense ulies then that is different. Then it would be more ideal if you hang for length and jelq for maintance and circulation. You can do this for a while and then after you get some gains switch to the uli thing and more intense girth exercizes.
What happens is that if you really really work the tissues laterally (working on girth), then it is painful to hang sets the next day for length. You have to balance rest as well. What I did was work length 4 days in a row (hanging sets in the A.M.) and doing 2 sets of uli thing at night. Then I would do 2 days of all day intense girth sets and then one day off. Or you can work length 3 weeks and one week girth. Or you can just work length for months and then switch.
You can do a growth routine for length and maintanaince routine for girth, then switch. I am talking about when you really are doing advance hard core PE that is pushing the limits way way beyond just manually stretching and jelqing.
Make sence?
