An Extender Public Service Announcement To Extender Newbies

The instructions that came with the proextender never mention stretching very far when flacid, but instead fasten in flaccid and extend to a certain amount of force i.e 900g 1200g 1500g. Even when on 1500g the extender does not approach near my BPEL or BPFSL length. And the only way to do that would be to fasten in highly stretched and extend from there.

Zerex, I started out with the same extender doing exactly what you are doing. I found my BPFSL initially grew quicker and I did not get any increase in BEPL for a number of months. It was only after about 6 months I stopped worrying about tension and started focussing more on BPFSL. Eventually my BPFSL outgrew my BEPL and is now (after 9 months) more than 1/2” longer. I am still gaining. Along the way I tossed the noose, got a dual strap/ noose head for the proextender and tried out the Vacextender add on which fits the proextender.

Okay great, thanks a lot for the reply! I will focus more on extending the length out at around my BPEL, I have tried it and have done it before without any pain or discomfort. The only issue is that it is uncomfortable to actually get it on and I get head slipping issues and the like. But this adds clarity especially since youve used the exact same model. thanks again

Started: (Oct 5. 2012): BPEL 6.6" MSEG 5.3"

Feb 5 2013: BPEL 7.1" MSEG 5.6"

Long term goal: 8.5" BPEL 6" MSEG Progress Thead: Zerex's Progress

I’m still not clear what the best route is when using a stress relaxation based extender; would I go below or above BPEL. Since considering the amount of hours needed, it would be a shame if I invested hundreds of hours of a technique that doesn’t work (as well).

Dom, as a relative newbie (9 months PE) who has gone through the initial conditioning and achieved some gains I do not think you should initially focus on BPEL when you start out. I got my original gains using the creep technique with a cheap spring loaded extender and only recently moved on to a slider extender which allows for the stress relaxation approach. While I think Rootsnatty may be on to something with stress relaxation and that was the reason I bought a slider, either approach can give gains.

I would stretch away either gradually increasing spring tension up to a reasonable level if you have a spring type extender, or gradually increasing BPFSL with a slider type within a comfortable range (ie not overdoing it). Also tune up your technique by adding jelqs and heatpacks. The trick seems to be how far to push it. Some say go easy for gains. Others say they have got gains by going harder (eg stretching more). Most say ‘listen’ to your unit. I’m still working it out.

Either way you should get gains and you should first find your stretched flaccid length increasing and then later your BEPL growing. A lot of men here say BPEL gains usually follow BPFSL gains.

I’ve an extender with springs I can remove, turning it into a stress relaxation device. I can set the length below BPEL, above BPEL, below BPFSL or using the stress relaxation mechanic’s creep above my BPFSL. I experience no pain or discomfort (Barring the base pushing into my pad, but nothing serious) going above my BPFSL. Although I do need to be into the set before I can stretch it there. I already have a thorough warm-up and jelq routine which I used during hanging.

The reason I ask what point or approach would be best is because I see contradicting statements. I can keep going with stretching it beyond my BPFSL (Using the relaxation creep).

I think the confusion set in because a lot of us could not stretch beyond our BPEL when we started out. Looks as if you are on the right track. I got the base pain after I started out but it is no longer an issue. Looks as if you have no issues stretching beyond BPEL. I refer to BPFSL as how far I can reasonably stretch in the extender as I really do not do hand stretches. I stretch by increasing this BPFSL as far as I can without overdoing it. For me this would be regardless of whether I was using the creep (with springs) or stress relaxation approach (without springs). As I think Rootsnatty is onto something I now use the stress relaxation approach.

The only qualification I have, based on my newbie experience is that I would use the creep approach when starting out, relying on gradually increasing the tension in the springs as well as the time. By the end of that conditioning period I was more comfortable just going on BPFSL
