Is Hanging 1.2kgs The Same As Extending At 1.2kgs Tension?

Just as the thread title says, is it the same? Right now I am extending 6-10 hours a day with 2 hours per session using vacuum style extender. But I plan to switch it to hanging since I work from home. Is hanging 1.2kgs the same with extending with the same total hours and sets?

Id imagine its exactly the same as the exact same forces are applied in the same direction, hanging methods do allow for higher weight to be used, but for me personally hanging seems cumbersome and not easy to pull off discreetly, so as a dad with wife and 2 kids around the extender is great and discreet for me.

Same. Don’t see why you wooudl switch to hanging unless you think you need more weight.

I believe they are definitely NOT the same. Hanging focuses on ligs a lot more, because extenders have that ring pressing to your pubic bone which isolates the stretch mainly to the penis itself.

No, they are not the same, HOWEVER, they are not that different either. The DIRECTION you extend will focus the stretch on different parts of your penis. Extending downward towards your feet will stretch your ligaments more. Extending upwards will focus more of the stretch on your tunica, but it can cause some ligament discomfort because they are essentially being bent around the base of the extender. Extending outward from the body stretches both the ligaments and the tunica and is more of an all-around stretch.

100% agree

I’ve put about 2kg on the extender for years. But when I started hanging, a 3lb weight was quite a stretch. It’s a different pull and I think they both have a place in a rounded program.

My question is, which one is more effective?

Both can be quite effective, it’s just a matter of what works best for you. You need to evaluate which fits better into your lifestyle, because it it’s too difficult to put the time/effort into it, you’re going to give up.

What about vacuum extenders without a public bone ring. Just a pull, like hanging…or not?
I’m playing with a vacuum extender at the moment and am undecided whether strapping to my knee or waist works best. I’m trying to correct a bad case of Peyronie’s so want sideways to work better.

this question was already addressed. Back then I thought it would have been the exact same. Yet now I know there are slight differences.

The base of the extender makes it so the pull don’t directly hit your ligs, as opposed to hanging Straight down. Plus the extender makes the dick kinda bend on the base and then pull the shaft out, while the hanger just goes straight pull, no bends. This might seem like a very small difference yet it changes the angle of attack, so the strain in the extender I believe is more shaft oriented while the hanger is more base oriented, if that means anything to you.

My point was I use a vacuum stretcher WITHOUT a base pressing on the public bone.

So without the base, and I totally agree with the point you make, does a vacuum stretch act differently to hanging (or piss-pulls for that matter)?

under those terms, appart from maybe the angle of pull, then I’d think there wouldn’t be any difference.

The angle, I think, is where it’s at.
If I pull down I can feel the stretch at the base and feel the tense ligs
If I pull sideways I can feel the stretch on the opposite side.
If I pull up I don’t feel any stretch.

If you are stationery, the only difference is the direction of traction. You can point it in a variety of ways with an extender, which is vital for me as I don’t want to change my erection angle, which points quite high upwards.

If you’re walking around though, there will be more variability in tension with hanging than with an extender as weights swinging round etc will increase/decrease tension due to momentum.


Starting Stats - 5.5 BPEL x 5.6 EG

Current Stats - 5.7 BPEL x 6.5 EG

Goal - 7 x 6 (with hopefully a large flaccid hang)

I don’t know if this holds true for everyone, but after about 11 months of extending (1.5” length gain) I hit a plateau. I did not make any gains for 8 months until I changed my routine and used my extender to focus on stretching my ligs. In the last 3 months I have gained an additional 0.25” in length.
