I suppose everything has it’s price. This one, probably more than what anyone would want to pay. Albeit, the hanging connoisseur may have to have an aluminum hanger- to add to his arsenal of equipment. However, if you are looking for a hanger to get started with, I have both a home-brewed PVC starter as well as a full size I could part with. PM

I agree, but at one time when there was word that Bib was out of production- I contacted him. He was quite adamant about anyone copying his design, that he had spent close to 65K in r/d and production cost’s. He is an icon to the hanging world and I have a regular job. At the time, I offered to help some of the guys that wanted hangers-when it was rumored he wouldn’t be making anymore. He was clear-that he preferred I not.

Toe in/toe out is done with the use of spacers/washers between the hinge and the hanger on the bottom side. Today (right now) is the first chance I’ve had to clamp it down on my buddy. No pain, good pull, real easy to get on and off. I will more than likely be working with toe in/toe out adjustments just for ducks. Thanks for the props.

Is that automotive RTV safe for extended skin contact?

Not sure, don’t know. My wrap prevents any skin from contacting the RTV.

Thats what I was getting at. I have read that skin contact with silicone can be annoying to some guys and dangerous to others.

I always use PolySeamSeal clear Tub & Tile Sealant for the hangers I’ve made. It looks just like the stuff on your hanger tryn. Lowes has tons of it in the caulking section. I buy the kind in the squeeze tube so I don’t have to use a caulking gun to apply it. I checked their website, and it does say to avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin (Safety pdf - see top of page 4 for the warning). I did suffer a little skin irritation when I first used it simply because I was trying it without a wrap. With a wrap - no problem.

Great job tryn but must temper my kudo on the welding :) . Thought you had done it the hard way mig not heliarc/tig. Am constantly amazed that there are so many on this forum that think Bib was in it for grins.
