Back to the Bib

Back to the Bib

Well, I am working with the owner of the suspender to try and work out some real or percieved kinks in the product. I have only had it a few days so it may just be me. In the meantime, I am hanging again with my Bib. Small dick or not, I will get my Bib to work without twisting. Damn, this is a great invention. I wish I would have thought of it, because it would be in mass production if that were the case :)

On a serious note, I do respect your desire not to turn this into a large business, Bigger. I am just glad you are willing to help those of us on the boards out. We do appreciate YOU your knowledge base, and our Bibs :)

As someone recently said on another board, you are MY HERO -

I guess you have tried everything on this board? Give me all your information, and I will try to help. Which model, size, wrap, distance between hex nuts on bottom adjustments, top gap, etc.

Hey, I am not a total saint. I would mass market the hangers if the right situation came along. But I am not doing the work associated with it because it is simply not worth it.

Once again, the problem is not with manufacture and marketing, but rather with training guys to use it. Not only training to hang, but all the things they should know about PE and their bodies in general. It would take an extensive customer service department to assure they were used right by most guys.

I have a BS. Over the last few weeks I have tried toe in, toe out, hex nuts close, hex nuts spaced out far, top gap close, top gap far away, wrapping with cloth and thera, just thera, and nothing at all. I don’t know what adjutments I made yesterday, but it seems to be fine now. I guess it is just a matter of continuing to adjust, learn from the mistakes, and eventually you will prevail :)

There area a million conbinations of all the variables. I was going to try to get you in the ballpark, but I did not realize you had solved it.

Yes.

Guess you’re not into mass marketing, if you were thinking of spawning a bib empire (may the downward force be with you?) you wouldn’t give a damn about customer service.

The fact that you are also willing to answer the same questions again and again (ok often with new thoughts) proves you care a little too much to make it into a corporation.

memento,

I believe you hit the nail squarely on the head. Said it better than I could.

Bigger

yes but it leaves a pertinent question.

Who’ll replace you, when you go?

From the point of view of advice, there are a few people on this forum with well informed knowledge, like you, and a number like me who are quite willing to give out more suspect advice (sometimes hitting it on the head, sometimes not). So the forum will survive but be poorer if you are not around.

On the point of the Bib hanger though, there are others with good alternates out there but the demand seems high for the Bib. So what happens when your son decides not to do it anymore and your decide not to spend so much time running a support service?

I guess we lose twice and will thunder be able to talk you around next time?

memento,

Who’ll replace you, when you go?

I have thought about all of this more than I can explain. Had it not been for the hangers, I would have been gone long ago. Nobody else is around from the time I started.

I don’t know about this. I think fresh blood and ideas is critical in order to advance the conversation. Old guys like me sometimes halt the debate or get in the way. As I have said many times, I only know about one penis, mine. Without other experiences, things get really old. I never want anyone to feel they should not give their opinion if it differs from mine.

>On the point of the Bib hanger though, there are others with good alternates out there but the demand seems high for the Bib. So what happens when your son decides not to do it anymore and your decide not to spend so much time running a support service?<

All things come to an end. What I think about is, I will die some day anyway. My wife surely is not going to do it. My sons are not going to make them for very long. And I do not want to do the support much longer. So, either someone else takes it over, or a company, or it just goes the way of the dodo bird.

>I guess we lose twice and will thunder be able to talk you around next time? <

Think about this; someone will need to talk Thunder into staying around some day. It will be a greater loss when he leaves than when I leave.

Bigger

> Had it not been for the hangers, I would have been gone long ago.

I can’t see the point of doing something unless you enjoy it. Certainly from some of your posts you seem to. I don’t see that there is a requirement on anybody to read every post and visit daily.

>Old guys like me sometimes halt the debate or get in the way.

Sorry but I think thats a falacy. This forum is all about creating and sharing knowledge. Like good chinese whispers information chages through the generations and new ideas come from old. At the same time this place is enriched by the breadth of experience. Your having a particular point of view would not stop me posting a contrary response, and though because you have been around a long time a lot of people might immediately jump to your point of view, in the end things filter through. Lets face it a lot comes from disagreement.

> All things come to an end. What I think about is, I will die some day anyway.

wow, if your thinking of thunders/bib hanger as a ball and chain, with you until death and maybe even beyond in the form of your family, thats really a very sad thing.

>So, either someone else takes it over, or a company, or it just goes the way of the dodo bird.

Anyone else out there want to make the hanger?

>someone will need to talk Thunder into staying…
Wow. I think if Thunder or anyone isn’t enjoying this they shouldn’t do it. Even if you are getting paid its hard to continue to do something thats a drag for too long, if its free or marginal profits in some ways it can be harder to leave but its not like anything has to be done cold turkey, unless thats desired.

Its not like when you do go that all the information posted suddenly disappears.

Just by the way, I’m not trying to talk you or thunder into going!!

Bigger- - - WTF???

Man, you ain’t ever gonna die. You’re immortal!

But, just in case—-I’m gonna order me a spare Bib.

:chuckle:

Take care.

Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy much of the PE thing. The reward is guys writing about gains, how it has changed their lives, that kind of thing. Some of the questions are interesting. But much of the time, it is repitition. There is only so many times you can read, “how do you jelq?” I do not read very many of the total posts. Just in the hangers section and some in the manin forum. And of course, any political debates. Also, a lot of just scanning.

>wow, if your thinking of thunders/bib hanger as a ball and chain, with you until death and maybe even beyond in the form of your family, thats really a very sad thing.<

Yep, I agree. I am old enough to be able to do what I want and have become used to it. Although I feel certain responsibilities, there will come a time when I will walk away altogether. Of course, I will have to cancel my email account etc. Hard to read that stuff and not do anything about it.

Here is my sermon again, it has been a little while: The deal on the old PEforums was, if you got anything out of the information, then return something to the forums. Everyone has a talent and can answer some questions to newbies.

Well, I gained a hell of a lot more than most, so I have always felt a bit in debt. But not now. Paid up.

>Anyone else out there want to make the hanger?<

I have talked to some of the guys in the past, and will listen to anything.

>Wow. I think if Thunder or anyone isn’t enjoying this they shouldn’t do it. Well, let’s see. How many of the old admins are still around from PEforums? That would be zero. It is tough doing this day after day, much less year after year. In fact, how many guys have been around one year? Two? Three? To my knowledge, I am the only one that has been around consistantly for over four years. Fun at first, but it goes downhill. A lot of really good, smart guys have come, gained and gone. Thousands.

Of course, the other forums here provide entertainment that might help keep some of the old timers around.

>Its not like when you do go that all the information posted suddenly disappears.<

Oh my gosh, you jinxed us. To my knowledge, the information at PEforums has been lost at least a dozen times. Probably more. Every single post, usually by a troll. I don’t think PEforums ever went for over six months without a crash. However, with the current software, the guys are backing it up and everything should be as stable as possible. But with computers, you never know. In fact, I regularly copy longer posts of mine to a word doc so that I do not have to re-write that crap anymore. PEforums taught me that early on.

Bigger

Well its nice to know that you get something out of it. Many teachers hits the saem problem in that they have the same syllabus year in year out with only the human side to keep them involved.

>How many of the old admins are still around from PEforums? That would be zero.

Thats the cool thing about thunders. There are a few people who’ve been around awhile. I particularly like the way that Thunder cares enough to apologise for missing a new thread when no-one replies and posts to encourage others to post. There is a breadth there. Vet, newbies and everything in between make thunders what it is.

>The deal on the old PEforums was, if you got anything out of the information, then return something to the forums.

yeah, thats the ethos of any successful community. I don’t think off topic replies like this one constitute a part of paying back but in some ways it allows thread readers to better understand where you come from.

>I have talked to some of the guys in the past, and will listen to anything.

Sounds like a challenge :) I’m not the kind of person that could do it but I’m sure there is someone on the board who could. I guess they wouldn’t have to be based in the US.

>Oh my gosh, you jinxed us. To my knowledge, the information at PEforums has been lost at least a dozen times. Probably more. Every single post, usually by a troll.

um, sorry. Holding thumbs for it not to happen here. Don’t like the sound of these trolls.
