mem,
>I can’t see the point of doing something unless you enjoy it. Certainly from some of your posts you seem to. I don’t see that there is a requirement on anybody to read every post and visit daily.<
Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy much of the PE thing. The reward is guys writing about gains, how it has changed their lives, that kind of thing. Some of the questions are interesting. But much of the time, it is repitition. There is only so many times you can read, “how do you jelq?” I do not read very many of the total posts. Just in the hangers section and some in the manin forum. And of course, any political debates. Also, a lot of just scanning.
>wow, if your thinking of thunders/bib hanger as a ball and chain, with you until death and maybe even beyond in the form of your family, thats really a very sad thing.<
Yep, I agree. I am old enough to be able to do what I want and have become used to it. Although I feel certain responsibilities, there will come a time when I will walk away altogether. Of course, I will have to cancel my email account etc. Hard to read that stuff and not do anything about it.
Here is my sermon again, it has been a little while: The deal on the old PEforums was, if you got anything out of the information, then return something to the forums. Everyone has a talent and can answer some questions to newbies.
Well, I gained a hell of a lot more than most, so I have always felt a bit in debt. But not now. Paid up.
>Anyone else out there want to make the hanger?<
I have talked to some of the guys in the past, and will listen to anything.
>Wow. I think if Thunder or anyone isn’t enjoying this they shouldn’t do it. Even if you are getting paid its hard to continue to do something thats a drag for too long, if its free or marginal profits in some ways it can be harder to leave but its not like anything has to be done cold turkey, unless thats desired.<
Well, let’s see. How many of the old admins are still around from PEforums? That would be zero. It is tough doing this day after day, much less year after year. In fact, how many guys have been around one year? Two? Three? To my knowledge, I am the only one that has been around consistantly for over four years. Fun at first, but it goes downhill. A lot of really good, smart guys have come, gained and gone. Thousands.
Of course, the other forums here provide entertainment that might help keep some of the old timers around.
>Its not like when you do go that all the information posted suddenly disappears.<
Oh my gosh, you jinxed us. To my knowledge, the information at PEforums has been lost at least a dozen times. Probably more. Every single post, usually by a troll. I don’t think PEforums ever went for over six months without a crash. However, with the current software, the guys are backing it up and everything should be as stable as possible. But with computers, you never know. In fact, I regularly copy longer posts of mine to a word doc so that I do not have to re-write that crap anymore. PEforums taught me that early on.
