Best setup for SO hanging

I sit at a typical computer desk, and I was wondering what you guys have rigged up to be able to hang straight out. I would need something to latch a pulley onto, so the weight is actual weight and not just a rope sitting on material it won’t “slide” over, if that makes sense.

A pulley is probably the best answer, but I found it a little awkward having to fish the line through the pulley every time I sat for a SO session.

My solution was to mount a small wooden dowel under the desk at a slight angle upwards so that the line did not slip off.

I also put a little bit of softened candle wax on the dowel and so that the line had less resistance. I find it a little easier to manage.

I use a small permanent pulley which no one has noticed as yet.

I am also doing side to side swivels on my chair which gives a great stretch.

I used a solid hook that I screwed into the desk from below. It almost went through, so I knew it was solid. I then hung the pulley from the hook.

Very nice setup and easy to remove if I expected guests.

Great answers guys thank you so much. Glad to see the hanging forum gets good traffic. So to those of you who installed a pulley, how did you secure it to the top (underside) of the desk? The ones I usually see do not have a place for screws.

Has anyone noticed any performance issues from hanging.I always read on how bad it may be long term which will affect performance to include impotence, deformities, scarring, etc,,,,,,,,,,,I have been thinking of trying this but wanted to know anyone s thoughts

Hanging done the right way, and far enough back on the shaft (attached too close to head for years) actually helps my erections.

Agree, hanging the right way helps my erection quality also I think unwrapping after each set and applying heat

Helps with discoloration/circulation problems.
