Bib Hanger, wear and tear

Bib Hanger, wear and tear

I recently started using a bib hanger - the original (not the starter) model. One thing that worried me was the top screw that you use to tighten the hanger around the penis. I noticed that every time I tighten the the screw, the ridges rub against the plastic, making openings bigger and bigger. I figured if I do this for a year, I won’t be able to use the hanger anymore. I am thinking of wrapping a tape around some parts of the screw or putting on small pieces of transparent plastic air tubing (used in aquariums). Actually I’ve already tried air tubes and they fit perfectly isolating the screw from the plastic parts of the hanger. Just a thought.

That’s okay, the “teeth” that mesh together actually do not mesh together on my hanger. The hanger closes and the teeth end up touching the tips like this >< instead of one on top of the other. Oh well- I’m probably adjusting it wrong. I still can’t wrap correctly. :(

I read somewhere, it was written by BIB, that they should mesh together. You can achieve this by adjusting two bottom screws, opening that end wider. It worked for me.

In the original post I meant the the metallic screw that you use to close the hanger and make it tight. When this screw rides against plastic parts of the hanger, they get worn.

The wallowing should be self-limiting because the bolt can only wobble as much as the slop between it and the washer allows. I don’t worry about it.
