Cold head

Whenever I’m hanging the head gets cold. It does not hurt, and it does not get discoloured. Is it still a problem? Because I can’t make the hanger fit looser - it will fall of if I do!

A cold head is not a good sign. After how much hanging does this happen?

5-10 minutes. How the heck am I supposed to hang if I can’t tighten the hanger enough so it won’t slip off!

What kind of hanger are you using?

The bloodsupply to your glans comes from the CS, so ideally you would want to tighten the hanger on the CC’s while not completely compressing the CS and cutting off bloodflow.

It is also possible that your wrap is too tight. I actually start my wrap at the base and finish at the glans. This is backwards from conventional wisdom, but it works well for me. I would say 99% of the problems I had when I started hanging, were from improper wrapping. It takes a good deal of trial and error to find what works for you, but try loosening your wrap a little and see if it helps. Also, when your glans goes cold, no matter how long or short the amount of time, end the session, and jelq, kegel some fresh blood into your unit. You can always begin a new session, but once your dick is ruined, the games over.

How far up the shaft are you placing the hanger?

I’d found that by applying the hanger closer to the root my glans felt much better throughout.

I agree with andro on that too. By placing the hanger closer to the base, it cuts way down on the discomfort. I have wondered if that is part of the reason I’ve only gained .25 inch in three years of hanging though?

There is that then, isn’t there.

Since I can’t find parts for any recmoended hanger I made my own. it’s a hose clamp, some strings and the weights. :P

It probably won’t come to a surprise to you that your setup is everything but safe. A constriction/noose hanger like that will cut off your CS, causing it to turn cold and put pressure on your nerves. If this hanger doesn’t hurt during use there’s a good chance it’s because of numbness.

You might actually need to tighten down more. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but the problem with a loose hanger is that it’s only gripping on the skin and resting on your glans’s “shoulders”. You need to attach the clamp about 1” below the glans and tighten hard enough so that the hanger is clamping onto the internal structures of your penis. This will take away the cold head problem and apply more of the tension to the glans and internal structures of your penis, which is what you need to be stretching (instead of just stretching the skin with a loose clamp).

Tighten down enough so that it grabs the internal structures, but not so much that it’s painful. Pain is bad. Also, do a search for the Captain’s Wench… specifically a thread about alternative supplies that you will be able to find locally. A good hanger will help out tremendously.
