Constructed My First Hanger

I’ve noticed an increase in girth at the base, too, from the base up to about 3/4 of an inch, coincidentally the same amount of length that I’ve gained over the past 9 weeks or so since I started PE.

I hung 8 pounds for 20 minutes last night. I was quite content to go back to 7 for the next round. :)

Right on RBM, hanging fucking rocks! I’m curious what it’ll be like hanging more than 3.5lbs. :p

But I’m going to take it slowly as I said. I can now consistantly do an 8” fbpsl. Yippy!

Just seeing 8” makes me tingle inside, even if it’s not erect yet. Very close to the 7.5 BPEL too!

I’ve been doing 5lbs these last 2 days, yesterday it seemed like a good stretch, today it feels fucking hardcore!
Maybe I’ll have to step back down after the first 2 sets. I really can’t imagine hanging more than this,
but I guess adaptation happens, just as 2.5 felt like alot when I started.

8 pounds? WOW. And those guys who do 15lbs, that’s just incredible!

I hung 9 pounds for 20 minutes one set the other night. I don’t think I was ready for it. I won’t claim an injury, but I felt pretty fatigued and a little sore in the ligs for a couple of days. I didn’t hang, but I did faithfully wear my golf weights. (Hey! If I tore them longer, I’m sure not going to let them heal short!) I’m sticking with 5 to 8 pounds per set for now.

I usually hang SD, and sort of BTC by putting my upper back on the chair and bending my knees with my feet on the floor. Well last night I raised my legs up while doing this and put my feet up on my desk for my last set. This gave me an incredible lig stretch! I was even looking at the clock to see when I was done for the last 5-10 minutes.

I haven’t been switching weights around yet, each time I’ve moved up in weight I’ve used that weight for all 4-5 sets.
I might add another pound tomorrow and see what that does.

I think fowfers during the day with hanging at night work very well together! I really love my routine now, it’s not at all a chore like it once was, now I’m excited about it.

I usually surf Thunder’s while I’m hanging, but it seems like there aren’t enough people on when I am, so I eventually run out of things to read/post on, and then my last few sets can be boring. I’ve got to start reading some books I guess. I used to watch some South Park episodes I had on my computer but I’ve seen them all now…. What do you do to pass your hang time?

Tonight is my first time with 7.5lbs, I’ve been doing 6lbs all week but it wasn’t doing the same job anymore.

7.5lbs is very hardcore, and I think I’ll only do my first set at this much and then back to 6 for the rest.

Maybe ask a mod to split this thread and hey presto…instant Progress Thread!

It’s amazing how a little change in weight can make a big difference in feel, isn’t it? I tend to start off with a medium amount, then go up my second set, then back down a little for sets 3 & 4. Last time it was 7/8/7/6.

HAHA, hmmm…. :-k I guess I’ve sort of been progress reporting haven’t I. :p
I actually was considering starting one, I was just waiting until I hit a solid 7.5”BPEL x 5.5”EG midshaft.(which I think is around the corner.)
I want to have some solid gains, so I have something I can really talk about, and tell the great thread readers what I did to get there.
I guess the reason I was reporting, was to have a good thread with all the crap a newbie hanger went through to figure things out.
Which I can then link to when I do make a progress report. Maybe I’ll save the rest for when I do make a progress thread. and leave this one off with:

It is, and I actually went with the 7.5lbs for all of those sets instead of changing down.
