Constructed My First Hanger

Yesterday I constructed my first hanger, I felt like a Jedi constructing his lightsaber :D

I read alot about hanging and hangers. I looked at Tom Hubbard, Bib, and Captain Hook’s designs, and sort of McGivered my own from their concepts. I originally and still want to make the Captn’s Wench but I couldn’t find the Nylon strap, so I’ll have to wait until I find some. I’ve already worn my hanger for a few minutes to see how it affected circulation and it seems pretty good. I’m posting a few pictures of what I made, maybe you guys can tell me what you think, and if it seems good enough to use for hanging safely.

I was curious how many of you guys who hang have a jelqing routine also, because I don’t want to give up jelqing as I’m making good girth gains. I think Andrew69 just recently started hanging and he made most of his gains from jelqing, so maybe he’ll have some advice and let us know what he does now.

Also I’d like to know what hanging routines most of you use and find effective. I’m not sure if I can find time to hang twice a day, for an hour “hang time” each time, but I was thinking of just one hour before bed. Will it make alot of difference to have the second hanging in there or will I still make decent gains from one?

I’m planning to start out with 2lbs for 15minute sets.

It looks like it won’t be able to get a good grip on the tunica. I think you should wait for when you have a nylon strap to make a wench or make an AFB hanger.

How does the hanger attach to your penis?
Does the O ring end cover the glans? Because, if so, you are asking for trouble if afraid!

On the subject of jelqing; you are correct, most of my gains came from jelqing.
And yes I do hang now. I started with the Wench, moved to the CCH3 and now a Bib starter.
I still incorporate jelqs into my day, but not necessarily as part of my routine. I try to jelq for five minute everyday in the shower because it is such a good general penile health exercise.
Although, I have started to “play” with dry jelqs to get the right “feel” for them as I would like to incorporate them sooner or later.

Ok, I used photoshop to draw a penis in to show how it attaches. The O-Rings go around where the shaft of the penis is, behind the glands, pushing the PVC sides inwards, the penis is gripped by the protruding floor guards on the sides of the shaft. I didn’t think it would be harmful to use, but if you guys think I built a crappy hanger I’d sooner not use it than risk injury just to prove you wrong. What do you guys think?

So do jelqing and hanging routines work together or will one interfere with the other?

I now use dry-style jelqs exclusively as I find them very effective.

As far as the nylon strap goes, I do have one that I use as an ADS, it’s a wrist wrap. I suppose I could use it for the strap or buy a new one and modify it to make a Captn’s Wench. Although it already has a velcro grip that I’m sure isn’t industrial strength, I could probably find a way to remove it and put the good velcro on it.
By the way, that’s a pretty cool hanger you made, I was also working on one sort of like that design, but I made this one first.

To be frank and honest……Chuck it.
1. There is no way for you to monitor head color or temperature.
2. There is a high risk of glans damage as you tightening screw is above the glans.
3. It would only work at very low weight as it is not possible to grip the internal structures.

Back to the drawing board mate!!

Ditto what Andrew69 said. Throw it away and start over.

Yours has many problems. The head will be mashed and hidden. You’ll never get enough tension on the gripping area with only a single bolt that low. And the hanger is way too oval shaped.

You’re better off sticking to the basics and deferring to those who have tried and failed before you. Make a Bib #2 or an AFB and experiment from there.

Ok thanks guys, I appreciate your honesty, I thought I had cool idea, but I guess I was on crack. It was a learning experience, and now I have a better idea of how to make a good one.

I realized that I can’t find those cable clamps anywhere, so the Captn’s Wench is out of the question for now. I think I’m going to build something like Piet’s Hanger, I have 2 PVC pipes to do the trick, my only problem is that I can’t seem to flatten them completely, and if I put them back in the boiling water they pop back to their original shape. So how do you get them flat enough? I used a block of wood and then put my weight on it with my knees, but maybe I need to jump on it, I just don’t want to break them.(not because their expensive or anything, they are dirt cheap, it’s just a pain to run and get more.)

When you say Bib #2, do you mean the Modified Bib Hanger? I find those building instructions a bit confusing as it looks like it’s cut down the side also. And I don’t know what size of pipe to use. The AFB style was what I was considering, that’s sort of how Piet’s Hanger looks only he really McGivered it well.

BTW Piet, if you have building instructions for it that’d be sweet. Are those PVC Pipes that were flattened and curved, with a sliced water hose for padding?

Is the cable clamp the only reason why you can’t make a Wench?

If so, I will post a pic of the clamp I used. Worked very well and is far more “adjustable” than a cable clamp.

There is a thread on the hanger I’m currently using. I heat the PVC in the oven for a short while which makes it soft for a couple secs, enough time to put something heavy on it. The slight bend comes from use, which is the weak spot in my design. How it looks in the picture it works perfect, the slight curve keeps my penis in place and most of the lateral pressure is on the bottom of the sides. However because of how much I tighten the hanger every time I use it the sides bend a tiny bit more. I did after a while use double layered sides which makes it more rigid but it’s not a perfect solution.

My hanger still works for now but if I was to remake it I would prob use wood instead and make the sides 1-2cm longer. Carve out a light curve and then attach the PVC hoseridges. I happen to have plenty of spare hose but other material would probably work as well.

Yeah the Cable Clamp is the only thing holding me back, I figured out what I can use for the strap and I have all the other parts already.
So if you can post the a pic of the clamp you used and where I might find one, that’d be greatly appreciated.

I think I’m going to build both types of hangers if I can, and see which one works best and is most comfortable.

Cable clamps are available online at Home. Go ahead & buy a combination pack. You’ll find uses for them around the house.

Yeah, the 2 piece version is better. Ignore figure 6 in that diagram. It only applies to the one piece hanger.

I used 1.5” inside diameter tubing. Most guys used this hanger before the production Bibs came out. Some went as high as 15 lbs., but I find it uncomfortable beyond 10.

I’d like to order the clamps, but I don’t live alone, and don’t feel like trying to explain why I ordered them, because I really don’t have a good excuse. I’d really like something I can just go buy and nobody has to know.
This is one of the reasons I haven’t ordered a Bib Hanger, I think they look awesome, I’d love to get one eventually. Also I don’t have the $130US to buy one as I’m saving up for a trip to Vegas in 2 monthes, maybe I’ll win some money and can buy me a high-tech Bib Hanger, I’d just have to find someone I could send it to and then get it from them. Maybe a girl who loves my penis and will aid me in my endevours if I let her get some of it once in a while.

Thanks for the clarification. The Modified Bib Hanger looks good, I’m just not sure how I’d be able to cut out the pieces right, I had enough trouble with the crappy hanger I made, I had to use my soldering iron to melt out the parts I didn’t want and then slice though it with a saw. I wish I had lots of cool tools to use for this.

Wow I just looked at the CCH3, it looks like an awesome design! So many good hangers to build and chose from, decisions decisions….
