Mods, this may need to go to the Hanging forum, since I’m a newb to this sight I can’t post there yet.

I read in one of the hanging tutorials that it is not recommended to use a hot wrap after a hanging session. I’m not following the logic on this unless this is to prevent a “spring back” effect from happening. If so, wouldn’t this be just as crucial when performing a jelqing exercise? Even though hanging and jelqing target separate areas of growth ie. Length vs. Width, it would seem that using heat to promote cellular division and ultimately gains in tissue mass would be beneficial after hanging. I would like to end a hanging session with a jelqing routine, but I have no idea when to use the hot wrap. Could some of the more experienced guys help me with this and tell me when a hot wrap is appropriate to use and when it is not?

I don’t where you got the idea of NOT Hot Wrapping after hanging is good. Everyone here hotwraps after hanging to get the blood to circulate back into the stretched tissue.
What I do after a hanging sessions is:

- 5 mins hot wrapping
- 5 mins of manual stretching
- 2 mins of hot wrapping
- about 100 kegels


Start 2-31-10 ___ EL:4.3"_____ BPEL: 4.75" ____ EG: 4.25"

Current ________ EL: 4.9" ___ BPEL: 5.9" _____ EG: 4.6"

Goal ___________ EL: 6.5" ____ EG: 5.25" ______________ New Routine: Jelqing 5 minutes, then Hang (12.5 lbs.) for 20 mins. a day

Well maybe since you have been a member for a while you have forgotten about the hanging tutorial this very website usues as a guide. It’s here: Hanging

Specifically it says:

“Apply heat for the first half of first half of sets. If four 20min sets are done, use heat for the first 10 minutes of the first 2 sets. This is to allow the tissues to cool in the extended state, further use of heat will make the tissues more likely to return to their original size. Do not hot wrap after the hanging sessions.”

The OA is pretty clear about this and suggests that a spring back effect could occur if a hot wrap is used after hanging. I would assume that using a hot wrap in this manner would be counter-productive and at the same time would not show any results to someone who chooses to do so on a regular basis.

Hot wrap after hanging is discouraged. Cool wrap or even cool down at normal temperature is recommended.

Yes, but what about a jelqing session immediately after a hanging session? If I were strict I would follow the entire routine, hot wrap and all before and after. It seems to me that even doing that could put the hanging results in jeopardy. Am I doing too much at one time? I would like to focus on both , but for the life of me I can’t figure out a schedule were both are used unless they are one after the other. I’m also wondering when and how long I should limit rest days especially with the hanging. I’ve read that no one should rest more than 24 hours and a 6 day schedule is necessary for real gains. Any advice would be helpful.

After hanging, is it smart to use a device to prevent “spring back” or the turtle effect? Maybe like a silicone tube with a light weight of .5 pounds?

Hot wrapping seems pretty important, just think you shouldn’t hot wrap after your done stretching. Your penis could increase in girth and turtle, does anyone agree with this? What our your thoughts on this?

I think the best way to go with hanging is the hot wrap with moisture during the first part and warm up. The moist heat seems to work best for me. I start by wrapping my unit with a moist cloth and then wrap a rice filled sock around it. The sock I put in the microwave for 1:15 to heat it up of course. That gives me the loose malleable penis that is easy to work with.

I can see heat after being a bad thing. I have played sports my whole life and baseball was my main sport. I can tell you after pitching nobody uses a hot wrap to cool down. Everyone uses ice on their arms and shoulders. I think this would be the same concept here. The one thing that is different though is the type of tissues in the body. The penis is not the same as the arm or shoulder. That is why we can work our dicks everyday and not get injured. I do agree though that heat after a workout wouldn’t help make progress.

Cold cloth wet.

This is what I do sometimes. Heat whole hanging and then cooldown post session.

I then use an ADS for the day.


Start 6.5 bpel 5.75 eg Current bpel 7.0 eg 6.75 (7.0eg base) Goal bpel 7.25 eg 7.0 mid shaft
