Is hanging really the best idea?

I realize that for some people (such as ironaddict) who have super tough penises, hanging may be the only way to get anymore gains, but for the rest of us, shouldn’t manual stretching be the way to go? The reason I ask this is because some members here have reported a lower erection angle from extensive hanging. Preferences differ I realize, but for me personally, I would prefer to have my penis always pointing up when erect. What are your thoughts?

As long as you do a ton of kegels, focus on doing lots of cardio, and increasing your blood circulation and general body health, then I dont think that hanging will decrease your erection angle unless you penis becomes just too huge to fight gravity any more.

But yea, I would recommend at least 18 months - 2 years of manual exercises before you switch to the hardcore stuff, and thats only if you have stopped gaining, etc. But of course that is just an opinion. Just listen to your body.

Besides, I dont know what is so horrible about a low erection angle. At the very worst you would be at maybe 90 degrees, which is straight out. Anything under that might be weird, but still not something I would worry too much about. It doesnt really matter when you are in a vagina anyway.

WhiskeyFish you are correct. I’ve read on forums other hang but they still have rock hard erections in their pictures. I too wanted to try the hardcore stuff but have only been Peing since November. I think all wait 2 years before I try any hanging if I want to.

What do you guys think are the best manual exercises for length and girth?


First Measurement November 1 2009: EBPL 7.5

Current Measurement June 1st 2010: EBPL 8.0

Short Term Goal: 8.5 inches || EBPL Long Term Goal:9 inches EBPL

For length I would go with a solid manual stretch routine, a few Jelq’s to get the blood flowing again, and then 2 -3 hours of ADS.

For girth I would go with a light manual stretch followed by o-bends, uli-3’s, and then into the pump.

Of course, tons of kegels and a solid warm up go without saying for both.

If you’re worried about low angle, focus on tunica work. I’m going to post a video showing how I target my tunica (I have a very low lot). I basically sit in a chair, tie a 2 to 3 for long cord to my desk (horizontal to my chair). Move my chair back until the slack is out of the cord, penis should be straight out now while sitting down. Hang a weight in the middle of the cord. Now I can bend forward, backward, side to side, pivoting my hips and just generally working the shit out of my tunica (bouncing, swinging you name it). I’ll take video this weekend and post it. Serious gains doing this for over a year.

In 1 year and 4 months I’ve gained 1.7 inches. The first year and 3 months I hung 3 hours a day 7 days a week (no time off unless numbness or other injury). Well, the video is about the only way I’m going to be able to explain it in full detail. I’ve never seen or heard of anyone else doing this. After hanging over the shoulder for a month without seeing any real gains I started to experiment. I’ll take the video this weekend when I get some time to set up a light, camera and whatnot.

Wiskey, yes I’m using my bib. A homemade hanger will work to (no rope around the glands, ouch!).

I really like hanging. Many people say not to go straight into hardcore exercises and it’s for a good reason. You can seriously mess up your wang if you jump right into hanging. I use a standard bib hanger and have been using the same one for 6 years. I have had excellent results with it given the limited amount of time I can devote to P.E. Hanging its the only thing that leaves my ligs feeling exhausted the next day. Manual stretching might work great for some and I myself have had some success with it but I will take hanging anyday over manuals.

how much weight do you guys hang?

I used to hang 20-30 lbs tops for 15 minute increments, though sometimes I would go up to 30 minutes if I felt ok with it(not recommended.) These days I just strap a belt to my bib hanger and pull as hard as I want with my foot while laying down. I estimate that I am applying 15-30 pounds of pressure depending on how hard I pull. This way I can adjust the amount of pressure applied at the drop of a hat. It’s a pretty decent way to go about hanging though I don’t know if it’s “true” hanging.

What exactly do you mean when you say “hardcore stuff”? Hanging itself is not hardcore if you start with 2-3 lbs.

I’ve been doing PE for 7.5 months and I stretch 35 minutes per session. Lucky for me, I have good grip and it takes a while to fatigue my hands so I’m fine so far. However, I suspect anything over 45 minutes would be tedious and that’s the time to start hanging.

My goal in total BPEL increase is 1.54” and so far I’ve gained 0.86”. I think I can join the 1” club doing manual work, but I think diminishing returns would start shortly after that. Hanging would be ideal to gain that last ~0.5”. If I react exceptionally well to hanging and if my girlfriend can take more, I might even go for 8” instead of 7.5”.

It takes time to condition your penis, develop a sense of positive and negative PI’s, and become accustomed to the consistency and self restraint needed to do PE effectively. You are better off getting all of that out of the way doing exercises where you are far less likely to hurt yourself. Maybe you feel that you personally are capable of all these things and want to jump right into hanging. Whatever. For most people this is not the case.
