I’m a happy boy today.
So got the hanger home and tried it out asap on Friday night- such a vast improvement over the homemade one I had been using!
Some thoughts that may be useful to newbie hangers:
-the sizing guide for the regular BIB vs. the starter is accurate. I’m at about 5.5 NBPEL, 6.25 FSL, and the regular one (which I bought) is recommended for those who are 6” and above [girth notwithstanding]. While I am definitely able to use it comfortably still and hope to gain the .5” relatively soon, I think I may also buy a starter because I can probably use it more in the short term and then also for OTS stretching when I hit my tunica later on, after the ligs are maxed. If you’re at all below 5.5 and your FSL is below 6 you should probably check out the starter first.
-the only thing to watch out for is your scrotum getting pinched in the hinge, which is especially likely if you’ve opened up the toe gap on the bottom some. It’s easy enough to avoid however… particularly if you’ve done it once! ;)
-I was using ace bandage before on the homemade hanger, but Theraband *definitely* works better with the BIB. I wouldn’t even bother with anything else.
I hung 10 lbs. for the first time this weekend and it was far more comfortable than the homemade one at half that weight. All in all, a well-thought out device that will likely see many years of use…
