Where to put the hanger?

Where to put the hanger?

I have a question, where I need to put the hanger, near the glans or middle of the shaft? If I put it near the middle, there are a lot of skin stretching, even more when I am doing BTC hanging.

The wrap always starts minimum 1.25” behind the coronal ridge of the glans (or farther for more of a skin stretch). This is approximately 1/4” behind the circumcision scar if you’re circumcised.

You attach the hanger to the wrap. Make sure the hanger doesn’t grab your glans; you want the pressure on the shaft, on the left & right erectile chambers.

As an example of good hanger design, the Bib Hanger was created to attach this way (on the sides of the shaft). This avoids putting pressure on the sensitive dorsal nerve which runs along the top of your shaft, and is most sensitive right behind the coronal ridge (part of the the circumcision scar area). This design helped avoid injuries and perhaps made it safer to raise the maximum weight.

Most up to date hangers, even home-made ones take this into account as well.

I suggest you study hanging in depth; you’ll have much more success that way.

How do you prevent the glans from turning because every time I tighten the hanger on my unit, my shaft turns a bit. But when I hang the weights on, it turns like 90 degrees.I’m using a Bib Starter btw.

Thanks yo

The same thing happens to me.

I also use the Bib starter. It’s a great hanger, mine has help up for a few years now. It’s definitely built to last.

“my shaft turns a bit”
I have had similar issues. I’ll tell you a few things I have done to correct this.

Increase your wrapped flaccid girth (WFG). Also widen the hexnuts. You may also need to make the hanger slightly tighter; but the wider hexnuts & increased WFG may fix the issue. Basically, with the skids farther apart, you may find this stabilizes the hanger.

This should help prevent the twist.

I also use a 4” PVC pipe attached to the front of my chair. I rest the skids of the hanger here and it seems to help keep things straight while I’m doing my SD & BTC angles.

If you have 5”+ MSEG this is much easier to accomplish. If you have sub 5” MSEG, you may find it more challenging to get the hanger settings just right.

Here’s a picture of the 4” PVC halfpipe.

There is a great video posted on the Bib Hanger website forums about attaching the hanger.

Yeah, I linked to that recently, but on another thread. The only video I think I saw over there was by stillwantmore, it’s pretty good.

Here is the link:

Yeah thanks blink2000. I finally found the right technique to stop my glans from rotating! All I needed to do was widen the bottom gap and add more wrap. I’ve spent so many hours on trying to stop my glans from turning and now I can hang with confidence.

Thanks dude
