Hey All! I wanted to get some insight on a question that I’ve been thinking about for sometime. By the way this has not been set in stone and is just an idea of mine. I’ve been thinking about a Pumping Challenge for 2021. Where I would be using a pump twice a day for 365 straight days. Basically pumping once in the morning and than pumping again 6 or 8 hours later. Is there a possibility that this may be risky to do? I have been reading various experiences on the pumping topic but not one that was done daily.

I personally would not recommend taking on such a challenge.

Variables are also important here, there is a difference between doing one 10 minute set under 5hg and a 60 minute set over 5hg (which is extreme). These are variables that impact the need for required rest days.

Also, I would not ever suggest a challenge to one’s self personally or amongst a group in any endeavor that creates pressure to perform something when rest should be occurring, this is a recipe for injury.

Maybe a better challenge or experiment is to commit to a routine that only utilizes pumping. One that includes some rest days and is appropriate in set duration, volume and intensity.

Just some thoughts to consider, no fun, I know!

Thank you both for responding to my post. I figured I would need rest in-between days. I definitely won’t do this challenge. I rather play it smart and learn than dupe myself into something bad. Thank you

The best challenge is setting a schedule and sticking to it.

Yes, for me it seems harder to know when to back off or limit myself, I end up having to take days off to recover from an injury, where it would be better in the long run I believe to better manage my routine by planning and sticking to rest days.

I pumped twice a day (morning and night) for 20 minutes each at 5 hg, 5 or 6 days a week. I gained over one inch in girth.
