Selecting Your Cylinder Size

The correct cylinder size gives the most comfortable pumping experience and the best results.

If the cylinder is too small, you just don’t have enough room to expand and grow. The main problem with a cylinder that is too large is your testicles get sucked into the cylinder and that’s just uncomfortable because there isn’t enough room for everything to fit.

Now there is also full package pumping where you want a cylinder large enough to comfortably handle your cock and balls and those are usually on the order of 3” in diameter and larger.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Since girth is found by measuring your dick with a tailer’s tape, the Diameter of your dick equals girth divided by 3.14.

Example:
What is the diameter of a dick with 5.5” girth?

D=C/Pi
D= 5.5/3.14, or
Diameter of a 5.5” dick is 1.752”

If you had a 5.5” girth dick and wanted to buy a cylinder, referencing gprent’s cylinder selection table you would need a cylinder with a diameter of 2”. And since you know the diameter of your dick is 1.752” you have confidence that a 2” diameter cylinder will work for you with some allowance for growth.

Seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors. I understand measuring ensuring not going too small. However, I’m 4.5” girth, which tells me to get 1.75” cylinder. Why wouldn’t I just get 2”+ allowing for growth in the future.

Hopefully that level sets what I’m looking at here.

You can make a too large cylinder work but it requires a lot more diligence. In my ignorance I started with a cheap sex shop 2.5” cylinder with a flange gasket. The gasket tore in a couple of weeks and the thin wall dug into my pelvis, but I kept at it. After getting balls sucked in a few times (not recommended), you figure out how to make it work. Mine had a built in gauge and soon enough it started leaking so I replace it with a 1.75” one. OMG what a better fit! I couldnt believe how much better. I outgrew it, went to a 2”, and am now in a 2.125” tube, and occasionally pack it.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Nah, no smoke and mirrors, why anyways?

I started at 4.50” and I am now at 5.00”, I’m on my second chamber, both have been 1.75”.

Interestingly, I’m more curious now in trialing a 1.625” chamber than moving up to 2.00”. I just never could find a 1.625” and haven’t found enough motivation to experiment with an insert.

It’s all just advise from those that have been there.

In the end, try them both, and you will find what best for you.

Once upon a time (2015): 6.40” x 4.50”

Nice, thank you for this.

I’ll definitely shoot for the 1.75” fitting my size. How long did it take you to go to a 2” from the 1.75”?

Thinking of purchasing both the 1.75” and 2” at the same time saving me from trying to find adaptable parts in the future.

I have found both of my LA Pumps run .125 or 1/8” larger than the size ordered. The inside diameter of my 1.75 is actually 1.875 and my 2” is 2.125. Doesn’t sound like much but it definitely makes a difference. I went from leluv 1.5 to 1.75 and then to la pump 1.75 (1.875) then to my current pumptoys 2”. I am able to use my 2” (2.125) LA pump more and more recently.

Any cylinder with a quick disconnect will attach to your pump and all professional cylinders have a quick disconnects. Ordering the 2 together will save you on shipping costs though and that’s very good. :)

@BolognaPony how long did it take for you to advance through all those cylinder sizes?

I’m trying to source cylinders in Australia. Any ideas?

Also I am going with 2 inch non tapered. My base will pack but I want MEG and don’t want to limit the growth of my glands. On paper the LA cylinder looks like what I need. A local source would be a bonus.

Hi guys..
I am 45 yrs doing PE since last 3 years .. Only manual stretching and jelqing. Recently I decided to mix with pumping. I searched and found one pump named handsome up which is the one locally available in medical store here. Unfortunately it has no gauge and the cylinder measure nearly 2.5 diameter which is big for me. Then I look for a pump with a gauge and I ordered one from ebay - name Stiff and strong with a gauge. When I arrived it also has a big cylinder and the gauge is not accurate or when put pressure it reading stays 0 and quickly move to 5 or up. I think it is not a good one. By this time I was reading this post and many other posts on thunders. This post is very useful with a lot of infos.. Thanks for this. One April 2nd I placed an order from amazon for Leluv pump set with 2 inch cylinder. I am waiting for this one and I hope it will come to my hand without any customs issues here in Qatar. I fell very different experience in incorporating pumping in the PE. Very interesting.

Wish I could get the pump as expected on or before 12th April.

Thanks for the post info’s.

sjpmsd2018, I hope your Leluv pump arrives soon. As long as you got the correct cylinder size, you will notice a huge improvement over your previous experience.

Let us know when you get it and how well it works for you.

Okay sure.. Hope it will come soon without any interruption from customs. I will update the experience. I spent too much for experimenting these devices because of poor idea.. It would have saved my money if I go through these threads.

Thanks

1.75" Pump

So my 1.75” pump came in today with a gauge. I got an erection (not full) then went to put my penis in. I barely fit! I’m concerned I didn’t go big enough. I certainly measured correctly. However, wondering if maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be??

The head of my penis is quite bigger than the base as to where I measured.

Hoping for some positive feedback as this pump cost me a good $100 not so sure I can return!

You measure at the point of greatest girth. If your glans is the largest, you size the cylinder to fit the glans.
