Selecting Your Cylinder Size

I’m a but further reading some posts and it seems that a lot people dislike the narrow opening as can be founded on Boston cylinder and Picturebrite.

Does the velseal also has this narrow opening .. Or does the opening equals the walls of the cylinder?

Excuse my English !

01-sept-2008 --- NBPEL 6,2" --- EG base 5,15" --- EG mid and top 5,4"

15-okt-2008 --- NBEL 6,4" --- EG base 5,3" --- EG mid 5,25" --- EG top 5,6"

I forgot to mention I’m sized:

5,15 base girth and 5,4 girth at the top .. The typical baseball bat dick.

NBPEL is 6,2 inch

I’m going for more girth.. Would the 2 x 9 cylinder do the trick?

I’m not sure about the sealing quality of the Joel Kaplan, does anybody has problem with leaks or stuff like that?

You should get the 9”X2” cylinder. The cylinders are constant diameter, no narrowing. Those VelSeal cylinders are very expensive, but they are supposed to be very comfortable. I am sure they come with instructions on the proper care of that silicone seal, but be careful with the lubes you use. I think I would stick to water based lubes only to prevent seal deterioration.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Thanks gprent !

Hi Guys, I bought the VelSeal cylinders. Had them imported from the US to the UK. It was quite pricey but I can’t fault the quality, in fact to me they look like art!

I had custom lengths made - 2”x11” and 2.25”x11”. I’m reaching 7.75” in the tube. 3” above your size was recommended by the manufacturer. I went for the longer size as I wanted to make sure they were the only cylinders I needed to buy. Haven’t progressed onto the 2.25” yet.

I bought the VelSeal as my first pump was a cheaper cylinder. OK it had a silicone ‘sleeve’ at the bottom but I noticed when using it it pressed down onto the pubic bone quite a bit, was uncomfortable, and might have been causing a constriction of blood vessels etc. The VelSeal manufacturers claimed their silicone seals on the flared base of the cylinder eliminated this problem. My experience is yes, it does. Very comfortable, in fact the pressure at the base is difficult to notice, more so the expansion where you actually want it.

The silicone seal actually is designed to fit the ‘flared’ shape at the end of the cylinder in such a way that the opening is not compromised. In other words a 2” tube has a 2” opening, even with the silicone seal in place.

Regarding keeping it in good condition, I only use water based lubes, as gprent said. So far they are still in crystal clear condition, with really comfy seals!

Good to know bigbox.. The velseal is 200 usd

I bought the picturebrite Jim Diamond 2 inch which is only 80 usd. I read some good reviews about the new straight one.

For a starter who doesn’t apply that much pressure I think the picturebrite is a descent cylinder and metal pump.

Still waiting for my pump and cylinder to arrive :(

Okay, I’ve got a question.. I got my pump (9x2) and have been pumping for about 5 days now. Going at it slow with minimal pressure to start (3-5). My question is: I have read about “packing the tube”. I think the tube I have is fine for now. I’m “packing” for a little less than 1” at the base and the rest is probably touching the sides of the tube at maybe 75% along the shaft, but not what I guess I consider “packing”. I enjoy what I’m seeing and am in no great hurry for anything. I’m interested in a healthy penis and if a little more girth comes, that’s fine. Really would like a little more length, but that’s another forum.. How constricted is too constricted in a tube and when should I consider getting the next size up (2.25)?

You have a long way to go before considering the next size up. Packing near the base is pretty normal. Full packing is when your entire shaft is contacting the walls of the cylinder 360 degrees around right up to the head and it will take on quite a squished appearance. When you get to that stage, then the only way to grow is lengthwise, but you have to be careful then to use low pressure or you will get blisters on the head from the concentrated forces and blisters are a real bitch.

Gprent - Thanks for all the good advice!

What’s wrong with getting one that is bigger and then growing into it

I've been told there a new 'confidence' in my step!!!!

I will quote from the very first post in this thread:

“Selecting the proper cylinder size is important for making your pumping sessions both comfortable and rewarding. Your cylinder should be large enough to allow for significant expansion, but not so large as to make it easy for your testicles to be drawn into the cylinder by the vacuum.”

I understand that. I got a handsome -up pump which comes with different size sleeves. It’s works wonders for me. I just saw everyone asking and talking about specific measurements so I was confused a little bit.

Hi. Gprent I saw how you told that the over-inflated veins, when you pack the tube somewhere, try to fill the penis with blood.. This occurs me in the base of it.. I pack the 1 3/4” in the base, not in the rest. Couldn’t it be what causes the problem I have with pumping? Thanks
