Big red lump

I’ve gotten a big, hard, red lump on the shaft close to the base. I first thought it was a pimple but it has gotten bigger and more red the last three weeks.

I am not entirely sure when it appeared, but I think it was just after I shaved my junk with an electric shaver and I cut myself using a too close setting. It bled a bit for like five minutes. I continued my daily cementing routine the same night and I experienced no pain whatsoever. My routine is basically manual stretching three times daily. The lump is now the same size as a big pea and very distinguishable and gives away slight pain when I press it hard. Its not mobile beneath the skin like a fat nodule. Its not an STD either, so what can it be, an ingrown hair causing irritation? A very stubborn pimple? A minor inflammation?

My guess is an ingrown hair. If it was me I would do a little probing with a needle that has been sterilized by holding the tip over a match. At the very least the needle will release some pus and the pressure.

Okay so it bled a bit. One day later, it hasn’t changed in size, but color only. The top later is harder. Should I maybe go see my GP?
If it is an ingrown hair, will it look normal again after a while or will I be forced to do surgery if I want it removed? :(
