Blood blister
I’m into my 4th week back after a long break and I’ve aggravated an ingrown hair about 3 inches up my shaft on the right/under side. It has turned into a deep blood blister close to 1/4” or 1/2 cm in diameter. It only took a couple jelqs to set this off and I could tell it was too painful to push through.
I do dry jelqs, and even though I’m cut, I have enough slack to slide the skin on my shaft through a pretty complete stroke. So I could continue today, I established my grip right at the blister so the pressure wave would be right above it and then pulled it down as close to my pelvis as I could to start each stroke. I have been able to do my first two sets of jelqs by leaving out the bottom 2” of my shaft. I’m not happy about this because that is where I have a smaller girth (about -3/8”) and where I usually concentrate more effort. If I continue, I’m just accentuating an unwanted hourglass/baseball bat shape.
I had something similar that stopped a previous comeback attempt because it was much higher on the shaft and on the top (more visible). If the last blister was any indication, these take a long time to heal.
My question is: has anyone ever intervened with an injury like this? Maybe lancing the blister and freeing the hair to speed recovery? Can anyone else provide advice on treating it?
I actually have made some progress this time and it would be disappointing to withdraw for the 3rd time in a row.
Thanks,
