Indentation or Dent in my Penis

Indentation or Dent in my Penis

I’m 40 years old and I’m afraid I might have Peyronie’s this time. I say this time as I had a close call back in 2015 with some issues with my penis thanks to some exercises I was doing at the time.

When I saw Dr. Levine in 2015 here is how the visit went. Dr. Levine is well known for diagnosing Peyronies Disease within Urology communities and was recommended to me on the Peyronies Forums. Dr. Levine did a physical exam on me and in his diagnosis he found no scarring, no swelling, no tenderness, no discharge, no balanitis, no lesions, and no plaque. Everything was normal with my penis and it showed extra nl elasticity. He did an ultrasound and was not able to find any issues. He said my penis is normal and healthy and I had nothing to worry about. Erection was induced and no other issues were noted. Things healed up and life went on.

This January I had decided to try and do some penis enlargement (PE) exercises. I had been out of PE for some time. Well I ended up hurting myself again. This time I’m afraid it will be more serious as I have a large indentation or imprint on my penis now on the right underside near the base. It’s not painful currently, but to me it is really noticeable and I’m afraid it will spread and cause more damage to my penis. The injury I’m not sure how it happened though. I think it was PE induced. I had some pain doing the exercises and I stopped for weeks, didn’t notice any visual issues with my penis at that time. But then, 3 weeks later some rough sex with my girlfriend on a Friday night, then that Saturday & Sunday I was doing some heavy masturbating and edging throughout both days, why I don’t know? The following Monday or Tuesday I noticed the indentation/imprint.

My next post will detail my most recent visit to see the Urologist, Dr. Levine out of Chicago.

On physical examination Dr. Levine and his staff could not find any scarring in my flaccid penis.
They did some nerve/sensation testing and everything was within normal ranges.
Ultrasound was performed on the flaccid penis and no scarring or plaques were observed.
An erection was induced and Ultrasound was done on the erect penis. Once again no scarring or plaques were observed.

Dr. Levine did notice the indentation that I had going on on the underside of my penis on the right side. This is my current issue. He did make note of some measurements on my girth and how I had a slight loss in girth where the indentation is on my penis. His explanation is that he did not think it was Peyronies Disease. Based on the information I told him, he said I had an injury or trauma localized to that area and I’m left with a current abnormality that may or may not go away. I’m still able to have sex in a normal capacity and it does not hurt. More on his explanation is that aging may be a factor and I was putting stressors on my penis that I should not have that led to the injury. I asked if this could develop into Peyronies beings this is a fairly new development (first noticed this around March 16th or 17th). He said that could be a possibility, or it may stay the same, or it may go away on it’s own.

Treatment. He recommended a few options.

a. Do nothing at all, and monitor the progression/regression
b. Recommended a supplement called VitaFLUX to use 2 caps x 2 times a day (amino acids to vasodilate, help with wound healing)
c. Use an Extender (might be able to ‘fill in’ that indentation in time, but it is a commitment)
d. combo of b & d.

At this point I really don’t want to risk anymore harm to my penis and I just want to get back to what it was before. So my plan is to start the supplement and monitor my progress. He said to contact him if I need him. I might just schedule a follow-up with him in 6 months if things are staying the same or getting better just to make sure no under lying plaques/scarring had developed during the healing. Of course if things deteriorate between now and then I will be checking back in with him before though.

I did ask specifically what he thought it was if it wasn’t Peyronies. He didn’t seem to have an exact answer. I inquired about Mondors and Lymphaniosclerosis as well as those were two that were on my short list of on-line self-diagnosis. He said it was not either of those.

So I feel like I had a 50/50 day as far as what I wanted to find out today. I found out I don’t have Peyronies, but still not sure what happened and if my dick will go back to normal. Also, there is a chance that I could still develop Peyronies as well. My plan is to do the supplement and monitor my progress. Also to back way off on the masturbation/edging. Limit myself to 2 times per week on my own and no edginig, and only use a fleshlight when I get off to limit any excessive gripping of the penis with masturbation. Also, with sex with my ladyfriend, back off on the intensity of the hard, rough sex and also be very gentle if she rides on top (I am a little afraid of buckling in this position). I think if I can stick to this protocol I give myself the best chance of making a full recovery, not hurting myself further, and improving my erection quality as well.

Pictures coming next.

Hey, I’m sorry you’re going through this. I don’t have this exact issue, but with mine, I noticed an indentation on the right side at the very base base of the penis during a flaccid state. It’s not visible, but something I can feel when I run my hands through it and is also NOT on my left side. It fills up during an erection but I feel like it might be part of a much larger issue I have (I’ve already made a thread on this so I’m not going to go too into detail).

I’m sorry I don’t have a solution. I do have a quick question, that medication he recommended, do you have any additional info on that (like which one he recommended in particular and if there are any other positive or negative effects)?

With my issue in particular, I believe there is a permanently contracted muscle and wondering if a muscle relaxant and some other medication (like this one) would help my case (again, the indentation is the least of my worries for me personally but any info would be very helpful)

He WeAreOk,

He recommended a supplement that I bought on Amazon. It’s called VitaFLUX it’s made by Promescent. It’s a combo of Arginine, Citrulliine, Carnitine Tartrate, Magnesium, and Zinc. I’ve been using it the last 2 weeks. I don’t know that it’s doing much of anything. I might look at putting together my own combination using things like Arginine, and Carnitine, some other ingredients too.

Just the past few days I’ve noticed the very base of penis on the same side seems to be somewhat indented too. I didn’t notice this before, so looks like my penis might be changing, still, :( . I’m going to take a look at your thread, will be interesting to see what you might be dealing with too.

I’ve cut my habits down quite a bit with Masturbation, but still need to work on limiting that more as I don’t think that will help things right now. Did have my girl over this morning for a nice session together, everything seemed in working order then and no issues.

I’m seeing another Urologist this coming Tuesday. I wonder if he’ll be able to help or at least give a clear diagnosis of what is going on down there.

To get a better view of the situation I shaved all around the area, in doing so I realized the base of my penis indents too. I have what looks like one indentation right away and then another one on the same side (right side) a little further down. My penis looks very odd from this side now. It’s still functional and doesn’t really give me that much pain but main what a strange sight it’s become and I hope it will go away soon or not get worse.

Anyone else seen anything like this or dealt with anything similar? You can see my penis is curving slightly to the left, I don’t know that it did that before, it may be a bit of an illusion as all the indentations/deformities on the right make it look like it’s curving that way. One thing I’ve seen and read up on for Peyronies Disease as the curve usually starts to happen in the direction of the indentation. So in my instance it’s kind of surprising that the curve is going to the left instead of the right.

I’m mainly just using a rice sock right now. I used up the supplement the first Urologist suggested I try (mostly Arginine based). I might try to put together my own concoction base of Arginine and some other ingredients. I was looking for a bit on here for an old thread that had a formula for all vitamin, mineral, and herbal based erection health. That formula was supposed to help get better more consistent erections. Anybody know of what post on here I was thinking of?

Anyway if anything hopefully if someone else is dealing with a similar issue here they will see they are not alone and maybe we can share some information on what we are dealing with and how we are healing/coping and working thru it. Thank you.

Was able to see my original Urologist from years ago. Man a good Doctor and just a good man. Really restores my faith in humanity when I’m able to get help from such good people.

The Urologist confirmed what the other Urologist had to say, no Peyronies here. His diagnosis is that I had a tissue tear in my penis (in the Corpus Cavernosa) from the things I was doing Jelqing/Stretching/Edging. He didn’t feel any plaques that were indicative of Peyronies. He said over time my penis will fully heal and I won’t see calcification in any scarring here. I think he was basically saying if that were going to happen it would have started by now. I’m fully functional as far as erections and enjoying sex, just have to take it easy on my penis form here on out as I will probably hurt myself again. This isn’t the first time I’ve torn tissue in my penis. So that’s really it for me folks, my PE career is over. I just want my dick back to the way it was. It might heal that way or it might not but either way I’m happy with what I currently got and that’s all that matters.

Good luck to the rest of you folks, if it works for you more power to you. It clearly never worked well for me so I’m signing out.

Very glad to hear that all was ok!

I agree, take it easy on your penis and just continue to enjoy a healthy sex life. That should come above all else and from the looks of the photos you have no need of PE anyway - you are already a great size!

Hey PenisMagee, I’ve had the same issue, but just below the glans, for 2 months now. Has the indented area filled back up? Please give me an update.

Hi there. My penis has never gotten back to normal as far as the ‘dents’ going away. It’s been 10 months so it’s pretty safe to say this is my new normal now, :(

I’ve developed further issues from this incident. I now not only have a dent in the middle of my shaft but also at the base as well, and my right testicle doesn’t hang behind and below my shaft like it once did, instead it almost sits to the right of my shaft now, it looks very odd and it’s fairly annoying and uncomfortable at times. It also retracts during sex now while my left one stays out, very odd.

On the bright side I am still functional and able to have sex unlike some Peyronie sufferers, so there is that. I’m now starting today on getting the testicle situation figured out first by wearing a weighted ring. I will start slowly (an hour per day for a week, then increase the time I wear it by an hour every day and see if I can get up to wearing it all day). After a while I think this will bring my testicle back to it’s rightful position but it will take time, and I believe gravity will do it. Then I will work on VED to see if I can ‘unpop’ the dents. I will post my progress on here from time to time.

Do you have pictures of your situation? Did you see a specialist? Namely a Urologist that specializes in Peyronies? You may or may not have that but it would be good to rule it out and/or get more informed advice. Hope you are well my friend.

Have you looked into the P shot?

Love thy neighbor.
