urinary/bowel problems after jelqing and masturbating

Nah, you’re good man, I appreciate the advice. I did them correctly like I thought, it was just a weird four or five minutes of a cold feeling in the shaft. So yeah, I’ll just keep up with the rest for a few weeks and then I’ll try to get the urologist to check me out again. Hopefully, I can convince him to get a referral to a physical therapist.

How’s it going, guys?

It’s now been a complete month since I injured myself. There have definitely been improvements, but only in matters of pain. No more burning after defecation, and no more pain in the shaft or below the glans when I get an erection.

To reiterate my current symptoms, I am experiencing:

-Occasional constipation. The sort where it gets to the ‘station,’ but you can’t actually push it out.

-Dribbling after urinating, and I have to lay down or bend around to relax the hard flaccid enough for it to come out. I wouldn’t want another urethra burning dilemma.

-Hard flaccid. It relaxes slightly when I defecate or lay down. This is causing a chafing effect around my head throughout the day, and is a source of constant discomfort.

-Random indentation/hourglass in the semi-erect penis after I get out of a warm bath.

-Penis torsion of 15 degrees when flaccid, and a very apparent lean to the right.

-No proper erection if I stand up. I can get an 80% erection if I’m sitting or laying down, but if I get aroused when I’m standing, the penis just fills up to bend straight towards the right, and is only about 30%.

I’m grateful that I no longer suffer any agonizing pain, and I’m hoping four more weeks of rest before my return to the urologist will be enough to solve the bathroom problems. I’ve been completely abstinent and am avoiding anything that could incite an erection as well. Unfortunately, I had a near fail this morning due to a night emission. By some miracle, I woke up before I got near climax, and I went to the restroom to calm down. When I freed my penis from my underwear, it straightened out from it’s bend to the right and shot out precum really far. It was pretty weird, and I had a raised line of skin under the glans that looked red. I’m suspecting it was a tube of some sort.

I would also like to mention that I have a new-found respect for monks and ascetics. The mental capacity to resist sexual anything is ridiculous. I haven’t had a break this long from sex and eroticism since before I hit puberty.

Wish me luck.

How bad is blood in stool? No pain but I was constipated for the whole day yesterday and finally went this morning.

Online it seems to say not unless problem persists, but I don’t know. What do you guys think?

Not a problem unless it persists.

Thanks for the reply, Titleist. I also talked to some of the nurses at the university today and they said the same thing. Appreciate the help.

I’ve been pretty bravado about this thing so far, but I’d be lying if I said the discomfort in the bathroom and sudden pain twinges in the base of my member aren’t bothering me. I’m trying to be careful not to make this a head issue too. I might end up seeing the urologist early because I can’t seem to calm down with the aching at night.

I know we’ve been over this already. But I still think reverse kegels would help you. You were talking about chafing on your glans and stuff which could be from lack of proper blood flow to your penis. Your hard flaccid gets better after you defecate because you are doing reverse kegels to push out your stool. I think you should give reverse kegels another shot. Just do very few of them at a time, and do them very lightly, and only do them when your hard flaccid is bad.

Don’t let this get to your head. There is a great chance I’ll have some important information to share with you in a few weeks. Someone else I know and me too, are dealing with the same thing as you, caused from jelqing.
Symptoms: constipation, unable to get an erection while standing, hemorrhoids (bloody stools), hard flaccid, underside of penis and glans don’t engorge properly with erection, and weird penis angles.
Very few doctors know about this problem, and they’ll probably tell you it’s in your head. But the person I know after a hard long search, has found a doctor who specializes in this type of problem and says he knows exactly what’s wrong and it’s a very simple procedure to fix it. I’m telling you this now because you mentioned money being tight, so you might want to wait a bit longer before you spend a bunch of money so you know exactly what to spend your money on. If you go to the urologist soon though, ask about getting a spongiosonography. He might not even know what it is though.

ChuckaChicken, that makes me feel better like you wouldn’t believe. I’ll keep the reverse kegels in mind and do them only in the morning when I’m least likely to injure myself. It sounds weird, I know, but I seem to have better control of my muscles down there earlier in the day than later.

I’ll keep up with the rest and dude, I wish you the best. Hopefully we can all overcome this. My searches through forums usually come up with few recoveries to this, mainly the ones that resulted from sexual exhaustion as opposed to a jelqing injury, but we can’t give up. I’ll incorporate prune juice and stool softening foods to my diet so I can avoid bloody stool from now on.

Rescheduled a urologist visit for Thursday. Let you all know how it goes.

I’ll try and get his opinion on the hard flaccid/incontinence/bowel difficulties being part of pelvic floor tension, and what the torsion and indentation is a consequence of. I’m terrified of having a cytoscopy done because of the risk of urethral scarring, so I’ll try and see what non-invasive imaging studies are available.

It was pretty fun relearning all the anatomy down there. Looks like anatomy and physiology courses paid off in the end, haha.

So tried a quick search of Hard Flaccid, probably didn’t search thoroughly enough, and also tried the glossary. What is a “Hard Flaccid”, I don’t fully understand the term..

Thanks!

Brahmv,

You’re probably right in that you couldn’t find a proper definition for “hard flaccid.” To be honest, I don’t think it’s so much a diagnosed condition as an atypical reaction by the penis to some injury or trauma.

From the forums and testimonies of a plethora of individuals I’ve scrounged for information, I’ve pretty much concluded that “hard flaccid” is a strange occurrence affecting the penis in its flaccid state. The member itself is extremely rigid when flaccid, it’s quite akin to a having a rubber cylinder inside the penis. It definitely isn’t a priapism, don’t get me wrong, but more the discomforting feeling of a small rod in place of your penis. It’s resistant to my moving it around and is quite bothersome. Mine seems to be most pronounced immediately after waking up or a workout (and all I’ve been doing since I hurt myself is swimming or stretching).

Since my injury, I no longer have the natural “j” or downward curve that my flaccid penis used to. It points straight out, as in directly forward. In my case at least, it’s a source of chafing around the corona, highly discomforting, and probably the reason I have incomplete voiding.

Anyway, I hope I gave you a good enough overview. Please don’t associate the other problems I referenced in my previous posts with this issue. Like I said, I think the hard flaccid is just another symptom amongst the others.

I think hard flaccid is caused from a lack of blood in the corpus spongiosum. There is always supposed to be some blood in the corpus spongiosum to hold the urethra in place. It’s probably why you had some difficulty urinating before. It seems like such an unfixable problem when you read about it on these forums because doctors only pay attention to the corpus cavernosum and completely ignore the corpus spongiosum and the glans. The tests they do for erectile dysfunction only show blood flow in the corpus cavernosum and they don’t even think to check the blood flow in the corpus spongiosum. Spongiosonography shows the blood flow in the corpus spongiosum though so they would be able to find the specific vein that is causing the problem and fix it, but it’s such a rare procedure that barely anything comes up when you google it.

Here’s some speculation.
There is a venous leak in a specific vein that drains blood from the corpus spongiosum and the veins that drain blood from the corpus spongiosum are supposedly connected to the pudendal vein, and the irregular blood flow caused from the venous leak causes the pudendal vein to enlarge which causes internal hemorrhoids to form and also causes the muscles to not behave properly which causes the constipation which also contributes to the hemorrhoids, and probably also contributes to the hard flaccid.
There are studies that link together internal hemorrhoids and erectile dysfunction, and I think this is why.

I learned a lot of this stuff from someone who has been dealing with this problem for years and has read a lot about it, and he is seeing a doctor who specializes in this problem soon, so hopefully we’ll know more about it soon.

Results of Urologist Visit

Hiya guys.

So Chuck, I just read your post and I realized I didn’t ask about that particular imaging test. Thanks for the update, and yeah, I’d love it if you keep me posted with new info.

I went to the urologist about two hours ago. I’ve split this section by symptoms.

- Urinary Issues: Doctor agreed that it’s a good sign that I improved in terms of pain management and urine flow. I also mentioned the dribbling aftereffect getting just a bit better. I chickened out of the cystoscopy the moment it was mentioned, but he told me he wasn’t going to recommend it anyway. The logic was that if I did in fact have a problem with the lining of the urethra that they could verify, the end result is waiting for it to heal anyway. Thus, there wouldn’t be a point in checking until confirming that rest isn’t working after a substantial amount of time.

- Peyrione’s Disease: Regarding possible Peyrione’s disease, I was told that if the chambers were damaged when I jelqed, they would be still be in the process of healing, which is why the indentations and hourglass shape isn’t present all the time. Both times I noticed it was after getting out of a warm bath.

- Constipation and Bloody Stool Incident: His opinion was that my constipation is unrelated. I told him that I’ve never had such a prolonged case of it in my life nor had I ever experienced a burning rectum with bloody stool. He still insisted it was unrelated. “It would be way too outlandish to assume you strained the pelvic floor muscles.” I pressed him on this twice, but when he cautioned that I might be making this a head case, I backed off. I don’t want him to write this in a medical report should I seek a second opinion.

- Hard Flaccid and Torsion: Obviously, after urinating for the UTI test, my dick was relaxed and I could no longer show him what it looked like, save for the torsion aspect. I explained the symptoms, the sharp pains, the torsion, and he concluded that it was likely just chamber damage that needed to heal. His reasoning was that if a blood vessel really was busted that bad, and the body hadn’t healed it after a few months, it’s already gone.

In conclusion and in summary:

I am to rest for another 6-8 weeks before deciding on going back for invasive operations and testing. Pains and torsion will either fix themselves or won’t. Ultrasound and cystoscope could better identify problem, but the end result is the same, which is to let it heal. If I’m stuck with a twisty penis, I’m stuck with a twisty penis.

I’m going to start daily pelvic floor stretches on my own. I don’t think my problems are a head case, and I doubt he’s going to give me a referral to a physiotherapist. I can stay abstinent and porn-free for another 6 weeks, no problem. If someone in the community has a link to the sort of regime you would get from a pelvic physio, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone. I’ll update if something crazy happens or just to chime in.

I’d recommend avoiding normal kegels in your pelvic floor exercises. I’ve heard they can make Hard flaccid worse.

Yeah, Chuck, I heard the same. I’m just doing some yoga stretches I found on a pelvic pain site for about 30 minutes. Reverse kegel still makes me feel a little cold down there, so I’ll pass on it for now.

I’ll be checking the thread for new information every few days or so. Let me know your opinions, guys. Thanks.

Thanks a ton Wanderer, that definitely makes it a bit more clear. I have somewhat better of an idea now! Much appreciated!
