Hi, this is my first post and so I apologise to the admins for posting here as I cannot post to the injuries forum.

I have been performing the newbie routine for a few weeks now, making my way up from 10-15 second stretches to 30 seconds and from 5 minute jelqs to 15 minutes.

I was feeling as though I wasn’t getting a lot out of my jelqs as my fat pad was visibly being pulled out with each stroke and my scrotum would get caught up underneath. I don’t have a lot of weight to lose and so I decided to hold my hand down on the fat pad to make it easier and for more of a stretch to the actual penis. I also decided to use this technique whilst stretching.

Maybe stupidly I didn’t think to reduce my time jelqing and stretching with this method the first time I tried it and did a full 15 minutes. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but something didn’t feel right at the end of the session but no pain. Where the fat pad is pulled out I can see it clearly on the left side but not on the right, although I can’t remember if this was always the case or not. There is possibly a small bruise just above my base although my partner disagrees and I have been feeling some dull pain when waking up in the morning around the fat pad the last two days and some aches on and off throughout the day. If I try a small stretch I get quite a sharp pain at the base. I can get erections still and if they are not full, they are very close.

I have been taking painkillers and applying ice to the area for the last couple of days and the last time I tried the routine was when it happened on Friday and it’s now Tuesday. I know I should go and see a urologist but I’m terrified I’ve torn a ligament and will require surgery, I had my frenulum cut and developed further problems and so I have a lot of anxiety about penis surgery.

I suppose my real questions are is it possible I tore ligaments without having any excruciating pain? Or is it more likely that these pains are just from overdoing it and that I should just leave it for a few weeks and then gradually start again if the pain goes away?

Let’s keep the panic to a minimum. Leave your dick alone, no touching no testing to see if it’s better for at least 2 weeks and then see how things are.

Is ice the right thing to be applying? Or should I be using heat? Or maybe just leaving it altogether?

Ice always for first 24 hours; heat thereafter but if you do nothing but rest it will heal.

So just by way of an update.

I’ve been sitting with a hot water bottle across the fat pad and it’s causing a fairly sharp consistent pain down the right side where I’m worried the skin doesn’t pull out if I were to pull on the penis. I mentioned in my first post I can’t remember if it did pull out before but I guess this pain suggests something has happened there. Will keep resting and applying heat for now.

First of all I agree with Jimmy.
I also had a little injury and I was overdramatic as beginner all I had to do its stop for 3 weeks and I was good to go. Your case sound a bit more serious so be conscious if you need a doctor in the close future.

And a little tip after the healing process.
Some exercises do not fit every penis. My penis for example do not like stretching every time I’m doing strong manual stretches I’m hurting myself and I tried an extender and also felt a lot of pain.
So right now I’m doing very soft manual stretches and I choose to go with pump as P.E equipment.

Every one is saying listen to your penis [Indication] and I didn’t understand it as a beginner but with the time you learn what works the best for you.

I’m hopeful that I am just overreacting as a beginner and in a couple of weeks things will be back to normal. There’s just a degree of fear in the back of my mind.

How are you getting on with gentler stretches? Seems like it might be something I should also try in future.

I’m just focusing more on the jelqing/pumping.

Stretch wise I’m only doing very soft stretch [Just feel extension and stop there without keep pulling it] during the shower/after the shower and sometimes when I’m going to the toilet during the day.

Oh and a little bit Between the cheeks when I can.

Another update, I left it alone for a week and the pain I was feeling has now gone away. So I decided to have a gentle wank and then later on in the day I had a bit of a dull ache at the base of the shaft on the left side. I applied heat and took anti inflammatory tablets a couple of times throughout the day yesterday and it wasn’t too bad. However this morning I’ve woken up and there’s still the ache but with a bit more sharp pain as well if that makes sense.

I’m of course going to go back to not touching it for another week or two. But does anyone have any idea what this is or has it happened to anyone else before?

Still feeling the ache on the left side of my shaft. I can be erect and feel no pain but as soon as I touch the skin on the left side even gently erect or flaccid, the ache flares up again. I’m also noticing the pain a lot first thing when I wake up. I don’t know if I’ve got some form of nerve damage or what it could possibly be? The pain in the fat pad has been gone for a while, I’m just very confused as the shaft pain wasn’t there at the start.

Apologies, as a new member I can’t post on the injuries page just yet!

About 4 weeks ago I was trying out the newbie routine and I think I must have stretched too far downwards or maybe jelqed whilst at too high of an erection level. First of all I felt pain in my fat pad and thought maybe I’d damaged the ligaments. This pain has for the most part subsided but flares up a little at times.

My most prominent pain now is on the left side of my shaft, below the head but most of the way up the side of the shaft from the base. I’ve been describing it as a dull ache, it’s not pins and needles or even numb really. It flares up mainly if I touch it or I rub against my clothes and it happens both flaccid and erect. I seem to be able to get erections normally and no real difference in EQ (I don’t think). I left it alone for about a week and it felt better so I tried having sex, that felt fine with no pain but the next day it was really quite sore, possibly worse than before. It’s now been another week and it hasn’t got much better, I’m going to continue to not touch it but wondered if anyone had any idea what I’ve done? I know we’re not all medical professionals here but I feel like based on what I’ve read on other threads that it’s likely the doctor will just tell me to rest anyway.

I thought maybe it was nerve damage for a while but now I’m thinking that would have symptoms like pins and needles? Then I thought maybe ligaments but I don’t know if the ligaments go up the sides of the shaft, from the diagrams I’ve seen I don’t think they do. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s had a similar experience and how it healed?

Soft tissue injuries require more than one week to heal. Try 3.

Have you kegeled? If so, did you have any pain or issues?

I have tried to kegel, after a few the pain starts to come on, on that left side but not as intense as touching

How about letting everything rest and heal?
