Red, Raw, possible fungus infection

Red, Raw, possible fungus infection

Hi, I’m unable to post in men’s health so I decided to post here. Two weeks ago after jelqing with Vaseline, a red rash accord on the skin just underneath my glands. A couple of days after that, the based of the glands developed into a what looks like chapped lips. As in when you have dry lips and they swell. Also the skin under neath has become raw and red. When erect the glands and skin almost looks polished. Also a couple of days after that, a cut or split developed in my Frenulum. This has happened before, but when I have masturbated vigorously. This time I associated it with the dryness of my glans, and the crack developed, like when you get crack lips. This is quite painful when you pull the skin back, like a sharp stinging pain. Anyways, the redness and rawness has occurred before, but went away after a couple of days of washing etc. I always wash my penis anyway, so I am upset that this has occurred. Anyways it’s been like this for 2 weeks now. If it is a sought of fungus, can anyone name any over the counter fungal creams I can use, or perhaps talcum powder/baby powder will work and if so, do I just using until it becomes normal again. I have put that on now, because that’s what I would put on my feet when you get fungus developing there. Can anyone Help?

It sounds like you might not have used enough Vaseline and rubbed yourself raw, or perhaps the Vaseline is too thick and not providing enough lubrication. Try switching to a more slippery lube like baby oil. After washing your penis, always apply a moisturizing lotion and after that gets absorbed, you can apply a talcum or preferably medicated powder to keep the area dry. If there is odor or itching, it may be a fungus and then you can use athletes foot creams and then powders to keep the area dry.

Nah I don’t think it was me jelqing my penis raw, as I jelq with my foreskin on top of my glans, how ever I did proceed to put Vaseline on the base afterwards, for what reason I can’t remember, and then a red rash occurred. I look up on the net and said this can occur as a result of reaction from Vaseline products. Anyways now it’s not so much red when try, but still it looks swollen sought of looking, and there’s still a split in my frenulum. Fungus you reckon? Any OTC fungus creams you guys can suggest?

Sounds like something I had a few months back. If the “chapped lips” effect does reoccur after showering go see a dermatologist he will give you a cream and some meds and you should clear up in a matter of days. And yes this probably is a fungi related infection.

See a doctor and have your cock cured.

Even if we were doctors - which we are not - we could not make a diagnose by chatting.

Do not be afraid, I think it’s nothing serious

I will probably have to see a doctor. Anyways thanks for you input, much appreciated. I do feel better now.

Could always try the NeoSporin ointment.
Medical science’s gift to the overzealous PE’r.
Not sure if it’s called that in Downunder land,
suffice it’s pretty much the same as the what’s known as triple antibiotic creme.
NS is a brand name I think, could google for it for the exact ingredients, no special really but it works.

Other than that, yes see a doctor.

I was gonna say, RootCap's hot. - kitten

Clotrimazole Is a broad-spectrum fungal cream. I dont know if its OTC in your country. Also Micanazole.

Both can be used for balinitis, candida etc … the more common fungal infections. But, I really suggest you visit a Dermatologist.
