Thrombosed Penile Vein

Thrombosed Penile Vein

Hello!

I’m not really new to this forum, I’ve been lurking for a very long time.

I don’t do PE, but recently after sex one of the veins in my penis became engorged while I was flaccid. It went away, but I masturbated like 4 or 5 days later and it came back after I ejaculated and has stayed there ever since. It’s been about 3 1/2 weeks. In the beginning, the vein was sore and slightly painful. But now, there is no soreness. However, the vein is still hard, and seems to be thrombosed. I cannot find any information about this online, no matter where I look. The only info is here.

Are you guys aware of any photos of thrombosed veins on this forum? I cannot find a single one elsewhere, and seeing a photo of a thrombosed penile vein would help me feel more at ease. I know I should see a doctor regardless.

I know that new members can only post in 3 forums.. There are so many rules to this website, I’m not really sure why. A lot of people would benefit from seeing the information on this forum if it was public.

Should probably be moved to the injuries section. I don’t know much about thrombosed veins and I think people around here throw the word around too much. Thrombosis is the clotting of blood in the circulatory system, and in some cases can require surgery, or if a person if prone to it they’re prescribed an anticoagulant like Warfarin.. The blood in your penis shouldn’t begin to clot just from being in the same place from an action like clamping, or less yet an erection for sex.

Go see an urologist.

If they don’t care enough to register, why bother? Benefits of membership.

Are you sure it’s a vein ?
How does it feel, smooth or lumpy like a string of beads ?
If it is a vein it’s nothing to be too concerned about if it isn’t painfull, they usually resolve themselves with rest.
Of course if you’re at all concerned then see a Doctor.

It is absolutely the vein.

The largest vein on my penis actually..

Runs from the base all the way to right below the head

This is the Dorsal vein. Does it hurt? Thrombosed veins are painful. I only ever had one, but it felt like a hot wire was running under my skin,

It’s most likely the dorsal vein, not sure what else it would be

I’m including a pic. I haven’t seen anyone on this forum with a vein that looks like this. Most of the “thrombosed veins” are fairly small that are posted on this forum.

It’s apparently actually very rare to have one.. Have you seen any other pics similar to this?

I’m seeing my urologist next tuesday btw

Well, that is not a Dorsal vein. Other than that, let’s wait to hear what an actual doctor says.

Are you sure it isn’t a Dorsal vein? It’s the largest superficial vein on my penis, and there is no prominent vein on the very top of my penis either

Here you go: https://en.wiki pedia.org/wiki/ … ns_of_the_penis

Notice that on that page there is a photo that shows an artery much like yours.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Wouldn’t a clogged artery be much more serious than a vein? I have no trouble getting an erection or urinating.. In fact, when I am erect, it is much less noticeable..

Another thing I noticed is that when I lay down, it is also much less noticeable. When I lay down it gets soft, but when I’m standing up or sitting down, the vein/artery is hard again. Also after exercising it is much less prominent. This suggests there is still blood flow, correct?

I’m starting to worry, anyone ever seen anything like this?

Saw my urologist today.. He says that it may have been thrombosed at one point, but since it’s hardness changes depending on exercise/body position that it is not actually thrombosed
