Twatt’s giving you first rate, first hand stuff- definitely consider what he’s saying. TCM is a good option for a lot of people.
Here’s my 2 cents, from a synergy of my Naturopathic, Ayurvedic, and TCM experience and studies.
Anything involving the word, “ulcer” implies TOO MUCH HEAT. The slippery elm/cayenne/garlic formula which you’ve mentioned is so potentially aggrevating to lower burner/GI tract HEAT SIGNS that I would DEFINITELY discontinue it IMMEDIATELY.
The stuff that Twatt’s on is MUCH better.
Your ayurvedic formula from above is very good, however, you can do at least as good, if not better if you use herbs that come from your neck of the woods.
The first thing I would drop on you (and Twatt as well) would be an immediate perscription for ONE QUART of organic Aloe Vera juice to be consumed on an empty stomach, morning and night.
I would then immediately put you both on a course of HEALING ENEMAS to deal with the matter of putting healing herbs (pre digestively) DIRECTLY into the affected area (colon). Now since so many heterosexual males are so damn ass scared these days, I won’t take that any further. But if you’re REALLY interested in healing those ulcers, I’d reccomend warm water and aloe vera enemas done exactly as described in Jethro Kloss’ book “Back to Nature”. Red clover tea would also be swell for these purposes. I would do these every day during an acute phase and then back them off as you feel yourself healing.
The thing here is that you will either get an A+ reaction from the Aloe, or will find it to be too astringent and will thus cause some of the griping pains of which you are well familiar. If this is the case, add HONEY to the mixture, up to 6 or 7 fat tablespoons per quart to see if this does the trick.
If this doesn’t work, then, amigo, your colon needs some serious fucking work.
If this is the case, then you should immediately discontinue consumption of all nightshades (especially tomatoes), cut waaaaay back on any kind of booze, should either eliminate coffee or drink it with a lot of cream in it, and cut down/eliminate all acid forming foods, especially red meat and pork. Sugar, if you are at the point where aloe/honey enemas cannot be accepted, is definitely also no bueno.
And you should do this because if pleasantly warm aloe vera juice/water/honey enemas give you intense pain, then you’re flirting with perforation and that is definitely not good.
But if you don’t want to deal with the problem directly (i.e. shove a tube into your anus and squirt some really good shit onto what’s hurting you) then there are a host of other options.
In the case of a replacement for your ayurvedic formula, I would drink the aloe vera DILIGENTLY. In fact, drink 3 quarts a day if you can stomach it. Over here we have a brand in the pharmacies that is organic, available by the gallon, and is in even the most run of the mill stores. You’ll find it near the antacids and that kind of junk. This brand is quite drinkable (once you get used to it).
However, before I could give a stich more advice, some questions:
On any perscription medications?
and
Do you generally either feel too hot, too cold, or just right?
Acid reflux?
Heartburn?
Gas?
And when you have pain from the ulcers is it like a twisting/knotted up pain or like a sharp stabbing pain or, perhaps, both?
Let’s hear about that and then we’ll talk about the differences between treating the nerves in the affected area and treating the ulcers directly.
I like the tumeric for these conditions twatt. Have you ever made it with warm milk? If you don’t have any sort of contraindications with milk, warm milk and honey is the absolute BOMB way of getting the most out of Tumeric.
The slippery elm is good too, but NOT with the cayenne and the garlic. Putting cayenne and garlic down the chute of someone with ulcers is not good until the later stages of healing- sure, it works for some, but it also fucks quite a few up- not worth it in my opinion.
